FC: Welcome to the NHPM High School Library Media Center | Your Portal to Virtual Learning!

1: The mission of this library media center is to be the "hub of the school”, a warm, inviting, welcoming place which serves students who are diverse--economically, culturally and academically. The library media center strives to be a place where the curriculum is not just “covered” but is meaningfully “uncovered”, through innovative team teaching with the faculty and the library media specialists. This library media center is dedicated not only to making students discriminating, independent users of information, but also to promoting a love of reading in students, faculty and staff alike, in order to inspire life-long learning. It is the vision of this library media center that learning should be student focused and should acknowledge that students need to develop critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills in order to compete and succeed in today’s information rich society. To foster the growth of the new 21st century literacy skills in our students, the library media specialists will dynamically and actively engage students in their learning both in the physical library space and through the virtual portal of the library website, in addition to encouraging the magic of reading and incorporating the emergent technology of today. | Mission Statement:
