3: The oracle was made in 1400 B.C.
4: An oracle was a priest who communicated the response of God to the questioner. A person, place, or just the message from God could be the oracle.
7: Basically the oracle brought the response from god back to the person who asked the question or thing they were searching for.
8: All kinds of people came to the oracle. They came to her for advice about many different things and came to her before anyone else. They wanted to know what the message from God was. The people came to the oracle to get advice about: -Wars -Founding a colony
11: Pythia was the Priestess at the temple of Apollo at Delphi. The purpose of the Pythia, was that it answered question given in an alternative form. Not only did the Pythia answer questions but gave advice for those whom seek knowledge.
12: e | The Pythia was chosen among the Priestesses at the temple. Originally, a young woman was chosen as Priestess, but one later got assaulted and brought a fear of harm to the others. It was then ruled that no woman under 50 could hold the position. After the Pythia is chosen they would attain possession of the Tripod. The Tripod is a stool at Delphi in which the Pythia sat on to gather her oracles. This was sacred to Apollo and was the bone of contention in Greek Mythology . Tripods are usually constructed from gold and given as gifts to the gods.
