BC: This is just the beginning

1: Forward Everything happens for a reason, yet we are all in control of our own destinies. Each one of us have made our way through very individual circumstances and decisions, to be here at the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy as the students of the September 2010 intake. We all share that commonality, and as initially minute as it may seem, the shared career path that we have chosen dictates the many qualities required to succeed in, and more importantly, to absolutely love our profession. Although we've not yet revealed to each other all of these unknown qualities, they exist within each one of us; Compassion, respect, courage, empathy, and humility are only just a few. The bond that we all share is something to be cherished. Through positive relationships, mutual support, and communication, we will grow exponentially in our abilities to provide equanimity, both within ourselves, as well as others. I am sure that we all would agree that in order to be an accomplished massage therapist, you must strive to harness the synergy between your purposeful touch, spiritual connection, and your academic knowledge, as these are what differentiate and elevate the importance of our work. | I am proud to be your fellow student, and we should all be proud to have the opportunity to attend this place of higher learning. As my future colleagues, I look forward to growing with all of you. Peace and love....... | Casey Walker
