Childcare centres in different parts of the world are slowly losing room in their centres for the children to stay in for the day. More and more parents are putting their kids into childcare centres because they are not able to stay at home and look after them. The problem with children not being able to enroll in some centres is going to take its toll on many families because they could be put out of a job all because their child can't attend childcare. | Issues at childcare centres
It is important for families to have a place they are able to have their kids go and have fun while they are at work. The only other way for parents to be able to leave their children somewhere when they are busy is with a babysitter. Parents don't leave their children with a babysitter because the children's ages that are at childcare centres are kids from the age of 0-5. Putting your child in a childcare centre helps the child get involved in more games and playing with other kids. Also they have the chance to meet many different adults which help develop their social skills.
An example of overcrowding that has gone very wrong is in Waterbury, CT - Catalina Reyes, 54, was arrested after police say a baby was found hidden in a home daycare center crawlspace during an investigation of overcrowding (www.dreamindemon.com, 2012). The 6 month old baby was unharmed, but this incident would have never happened if the overcrowding had been maintained earlier.

Apparently what this lady said was that the child was dropped of at last minute, but that still doesn't explain her actions.
What should be done about the overcrowding | All childcare centres should only have a certain amount of children in their centre to avoid this crisis. Also many new centres need to open to make more room for children and more workers employed.
Many parents need some days to themselves and just take their children to childcare centres. | If parents tried to find someone experienced enough to look after young children then that could result in much less overcrowding. Even family members are good for looking after the children because it's easier to trust them and many family member have had experience with children.
An understanding of how the childcare system works is ideal when talking about how things are happening. These days not many people are interested in working with children and the centres which makes it hard for enrollment purposes of the staff. Qualifications are needed to work in childcare centres, but also having a qualification to own your own childcare centre helps out a lot with the centres around the area because some children may change centres of new children can go to the home centres which relieves more of the overcrowding situation. | The opportunities to open your own centre is great. You can meet so many great children and have fun with your job meeting new people.
