FC: Trans-Atlantic Slavery | Why it began... It began because in the Eropean empire there was one flaw, There was no work force. Europeans weren't good at labor, but the africans were great workers, The Euopeans thought that the Africans could be worked very hard. By the mid fifteen hundreds people realized there was African slaves in the Americas. i know this isn't suppose to be about. i know this isnt suppose to be about america but they did play kind of a role in the tans atlantic slavery

The Trade obviously did affect most of the african americans living in africa for quite a while. because the slave trade started in the 15th century and was just at its peek in the 17th century and ended i think in the 18th century. This slave trading went on for quite a while, the trade got so widley known because it was because every journey was really profitable for merchants.

What did the triangular trade involve? Well the first stage of the triangular trade involved... taking manufactured goods from Europe to Africa: cloth, spirit, tobacco, metal, and guns. he Second stage involved shipping the slaves which is also called the middle passage. The last (or third) Stage included coming back to Europe with the produce from the slave-labor plantation which included : cotton, sugar, tobacco, molasses and rum.

here you can see a picture of the triangular trade.. you cant make out the words because it wasn't in hi res but you can see where the triangular trade met.

Life on the boat getting transported to Europe wasnt all fun and games. On top of having to be a slave when you got there on the Boat many people died from diseases and malnutrition in fact. The onditions were s bad that the rate of people dieing ON the ships was 13%. So its not like because they knew you were going to be a slave soon they would treat you good on the ride there, no it was bad when you got there and on the way there. the worst part to me is that the ruler of the people who were getting sold into slavery and taken to europe, their ruler/leader knew that Europe was doing this to their people, not a very good ruler if you ask me.

This is how jam packed it was on the slave trade ships
