1: The Red Tailed Hawk has a dark brown back with a light colored belly. When they are 2 their tails turn red. They can weigh 4 pounds. The girl birds are bigger. Their wing span can be 4 feet long.

2: They live in grasslands, deserts, and forests. They live on the edge of forests so they can catch mice easier.

5: INTERESTING FACTS They have great eyesight. They can spot a small rodent from 100 feet away. They use their razor sharp claws, hooked bill and strong feet to catch their prey.
