This is a myth about how Rome got started. Since it is a myth, not everyone agrees on the details. There is much controversy on whether any of it is really true. Many people agree though that there is little fact in it at all.So sit back and enjoy my interpretation of Romulus and Remus: How Rome Began

Our story begins at Romulus and Remus' birth. Their father Mars, the god of war, took them away from their mother and threw them in a river as soon as they were born. He did this because he wanted them dead so they couldn't overrule him.

But the waters in the river resided later that night and the boys were still alive. Then a mother wolf found them and raised them as her own.

When the boys were toddlers a shepherd killed their wolf-mother and found them. He then took the boys home where his wife raised them as her own children until they were adults.

When Romulus and Remus became adults they decided that they would build their own city.

Romulus then started building the city walls. But Remus laughed at his attempt and then out of anger Romulus killed Remus.

Romulus named the city Roma or Rome after himself. He then ruled alone until he died.
