20: Mr. Meehan, I've said this before but I could never say it too many times so .. You have been such a blessing to Sophie! An awesome figure in her live that I am certain she will remember always. Your demeanor and style is exemplary even to us as parents. There are tough days but even then we can help our children handle challenges, solve problems and make better choices with calm. You will be remembered obviously for your giant-like statue ;) but also your heart and yes, grace. We are so glad that Ms. Hwang found and asked you to come to Sanders. What a gift you have been to our children and will be to others in our community in the coming years. Sophie and I both are so happy that you were her first grade teacher! We're a little sad that it has to come to an end but there are more things to learn from others. Thank you for all she has learned from you but especially for that beyond the curriculum! Thank you a thousand times over!! With much gratitude and appreciation, Heather Kutz

24: Mr. Meehan - Thank you so much for all that you have done to help my son, Reese, truly love school and enjoy reading. You have taught him so lifelong lessons on math, reading, and friendship. I appreciate all that you have done and we will never forget your patience, support and dedication. The Vinluans

35: Mr. Meehan, Thank you for making Sammy's first grade year a wonderful one! He has learned so much this year, and we love to hear all of the interesting and funny stories that he relays from school. (facts about math, retelling of books, experiences from science, stories about friends, and the list goes on!) Thank you for your patience, good humor, support, and encouragement. You're a great teacher and I wish you all the best in your teaching years ahead! Sincerely, Susie Clay

39: Dear Mr. Meehan, Thank you for all of the details you put into making each day special for our children. Jason especially loved the music in the mornings. He learned most of the American patriotic songs and marches around the house singing them. The slide show you put together for the Mother's Day Tea was a tear jerker. It was very special to all of us. Thank you for helping our children reach for their potential in all areas. You are a wonderful first grade teacher. We are so glad you were here for Jason. He has had an incredibly successful year from start to finish. Have a great summer! George and Lisa King

41: Mr. Meehan, thanks so much for what you have brought this year to Maria and her classmates. The excitement of learning how to read (or read better), of improving how they communicate, both in speaking and in writing, making change for a dollar or a quarter, learning about new animals, including Splash, and so many other things that expanded their minds. But especially thanks for doing it in the way you did - with a fascination as you were going through it as a teacher for the first time, but with such a calmness, loving, and gentle manner - the kids really look up to you (sorry, had to include a tall joke) and will always treasure the time they spent with you this year. Thanks for being a wonderful first grade teacher for Maria and for this fantastic year! - Cindy, Dana, and Maria Stalcup

44: End of school Beach Party!!! It's Limbo time!)

51: End of school year Beach Party!!

52: Mr. Meehan: You have been such an awesome teacher! You have challenged Lauren and helped her learn all while having fun! Your hard work and dedication to the class is appreciated much more than words can express! Thank you for making her first grade year so wonderful! Tony & Amy Clark | Mr. Meehan, We want to express our sincere gratitude for all the efforts you have taken during this academic year. It has been such a special experience for our first grader to be in your first first grade class! From day one, Nathan always had positive things to say about your class, from your birthday beanie toys, to creative writing stories in which you get hurt and rescued by him, to learning many patriotic songs which continue to be music to ours ears at home, to your kindness on the playground. It is comforting to know that Nathan is not just getting a great education, but he is happy at school as well. We thank you again for all the wonderful work you have done and wish you all the best for your future endeavors. With Kind Regards, Dara and Bill Britt

53: Mr.Meehan, We want to thank you for everything you have done this year. You have made this year an amazing year for Madison and for us. She wakes up in the morning excited to go to school and learn. She has learned so much and we don't know how to thank you enough for all your hard work and patience . It is so hard to think about Madison with any other teacher. You have definitely set the bar pretty high for teachers to come. Madison asked me today" Mommy can I just please have Mr.Meehan for 2nd grade and until I graduated high school" :) I told her " Oh how I wish that could happen". You should be very proud you have done a great job this year. Also on a quick other note I wanted to to tell you what a pleasure it was to be one of your room moms this year. :) I hope you have a great summer and we look forward to passing you in the hallway next year. Sincerely, Alisa and Clinton Miller
