FC: Saving Private Ryan
1: Captain John H. Miller and his crew go through a gruesome scene of the Battle Of Omaha when they stormed the Beach. After they establish a base in one of the bunkers they receive news of a tragic event; Private Ryan is the youngest of four brothers and all his brothers died in battle. John's new mission is to locate Ryan who is M.I.A and return him home safely. | Call to Adventure | Private Ryan | The Crew
2: Threshold Crossing | Captain John Miller does not want to risk the lives of all of his men to save just one but he realizes that they must not leave a man behind and they embark on the adventure. With little idea of where they are going they start for the drop point of Private Ryan.
3: In Saving Private Ryan there are several tests and allies. The first main test to finding Ryan is when they have to walk across a field where they stumble upon a Nazi gun emplacement that kills one of there friends. They find a Nazi who is still alive by the name of Steamboat Willie. This point in the movie reflects the hardships of war and if Ryan is worth saving. John Miller decides to let the Nazi prisoner go and tells him to turn himself in when he sees the next American group. This is showing the strength of Miller he still shows compassion towards his enemy. | Test/Enemies | Steamboat | Miller
4: They find more help from paratroopers and a deaf man tells them the location of Ryan. Miller and his boys realize that Ryan is still alive and that they still can save him. | Allies
5: Supreme Test | Private Miller and his crew find the man that they have been looking for Private James Francis Ryan. They give him the news of his brothers deaths and realize that there struggle isn't over yet. They have to defend the bridge from attacking Nazi forces.
6: Tragic Ending/Reward
7: Captain Miller was shot by Steamboat Willy but he completed his mission. Ryan was alive and even though they all gave there lives for one man it was all worth it in the end. It was there reward to die so that one man could live and go back to live a happy life.
