FC: Science Center Field Trip

1: Our field trip to the Science Center!

3: The "Copper Stuff" exhibit is a man or some creature made of random copper objects. This is related to math because you need to figure out the specific angles to make this man. -Shel

5: This fountain is related to math because you need to determine the force to get the water from the fountain on the left to the fountain on the right. -Becca

7: This activity is related to Language Arts because it shows how we learned to pronounce words, and the beginning, middle, and end stages of pronunciation. -Lindsay

9: This photo of a telephone switchboard is related to Social Studies and History because it demonstrates the history of telephone, and how they were operated then verses now. -Nailin

11: This Electric Motor is related to science because it displays what happens when negative and positive forces attract (magnetism). -Mickey

13: The "Rhyming for Young Children" activity is related to Language Arts because it exhibits early rhyming skills used for reading and writing. -Becca

15: The Giant Lever activity is related to to math and science because not only does it show how levers help you pull, lift, and move objects, but it reduces the force needed to do these activities. -Shel

17: This activity, pulling yourself up by a rope, is related to math because you have to pull your own weight. The more difficult lift you choose, the more resistance you get. -Mickey

19: The first picture has to do with science, because the air pressure in the room is different, keeping the balls in the air | The second is Mickey's air's flying because of the extreme air pressure. -Lindsay

21: This last picture is of the brain's nervous system, and is related to science because our brain is always changing. -Nailin
