Hi, My name is Susie. I live in Russia, and my Aunt is the Queen, but most people call her Catherine the Great.
One day we were visiting England. I was playing with a bouncy ball that my dad had given be for my 7th birthday. As i was playing a man came up to me and asked me if i knew why the ball went up and down.
I said "no". The man's name was Isaac Newton, he told me all about gravity and how he discovered it. After a while he joined me in my fun.
The next day we went to the Salon. I love to go there with my mom and dad because I get to meet new people and learn new things.
There I met Galileo Galilei who was very smart. He was a scientist who made up new ideas on astronomy, which what I learned was the study of the stars and planets.
I met two other important people at the salon that day. Two Philosopes named Voltaire and Rousseau. Voltaire told me he had written over 70 books of essays. Rousseau was committed to personal freedom.
One day I had gotten in trouble for whining to much. I was angry, and that is when John Locke came to talk to me. He told me that I could learn from this experience and now improve myself.
Two men were debating on whether the Heliocentric Theory or the Geocentric Theory was right. The Heliocentric Theory is when the Earth goes around the Sun. The Geocentric Theory is when everything goes around the Earth.
I think the Heliocentri Theory is the right one is right.
A month later I met a man named Francis Bacon. He told me that instead of arguing something that I should use the Scientific method and figure out the real answer.
I met a man named Thomas Hobbes. He told me about a social contract which said that people gave up control to live in an organized society.
We had went to the America's, there I met a man named Thomas Jefferson.
Mr. Jefferson was very nice and told me lots of stories. The story I liked the most was when he told me how he was the main writer of the Declaration of Independence. I thought that was really cool and I think he may have been the person that i liked meeting the most.
Well it is time to get back to Russia. I really liked telling you my story about my adventures. I can't wait till next time! - Susie
