1: Suzanne Collins was born in Connecticut. She began her career in 1991 as a writer for children's television shows. She won the M.F.A from New York University in dramatic writing.

2: Suzanne wrote television shows of Clarissa Explains It All, The Mystery File Of Shelby Woo, Little Bear, Oswald, and Wow Wow Wubbzy from Nickelodeon. She also received a Writers Guild of America for Santa Baby.

3: Suzanne wrote a New York Times best seller named The Underland Chronicles. Between 2003 and 2007 she wrote a series of The Underland Chronicles. She wrote "Gregor the Overlander, Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane, Gregor and the Curse of Warmbloods, Gregor and the Marks of Secret," and "Gregor and the Code of Claw.

4: At the same time she wrote a rhyming picture book illustrated by Mike Lester. The book was called... When Charlie McButton Lost Power.

5: In 2008 the Hunger Games was released. Then in 2009 she came out with Catching Fire, following her series, then came out Mockingjay in 2010

6: In only 14 months 1.5 billion copies have been printed in North America alone. The Hunger Games has been New York Times best seller list for more than 60 weeks in a row!

7: When Suzanne wrote her book about The Underland Chronicles she had to write about an 11 year old boy. She said that she spent lots of time with boys when she was 11 so she knew a lot to write about for The Underland chronicles.

8: Suzanne says that she is not brave. The characters that Suzanne made in all her books were really brave characters.

9: When Suzanne was young she liked to do gymnastics, reading, and running with friends. She said this inspired her to write and read more.

10: In Suzanne's books she writes about creepy insects and bugs. But in real life, she is only afraid of spiders. She likes all other insects though.

11: Hunger Games was one of her best selling series. Including with Catching Fire, and Mockingjay.

12: Suzanne said her great books were inspired by her father as an air force pilot. She said that it helped her understand poverty, starvation, and the effects of war.

13: The Hunger Games is now a movie. It came out March 23rd 2012. Suzanne now lives in Connecticut with her husband, their two children, and two adopted feral kittens.

14: Suzanne wrote these books: The Underland Chronicles, Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay, When Charlie McButton Lost Power, and Clarissa Explains It All."

15: I read the Hunger Games and I am going to tell you a brief summary about it. In the country of Panem lies twelve districts.

16: In this annual competition held every year, they have to send one boy and one girl from twelve districts to fight till death.

17: Prim, a twelve year old girl got picked to fight for death. But Katniss is the sister and she wants to go in instead of Prim to fight because Prim is only twelve and Katniss is sixteen years old. Soon the other boy from district twelve gets picked named Peeta to fight too.

18: They have to fight until one person wins and goes home. There are 24 competitors and only one can win. What district will win? Can it be Katniss?
