1: Flags of the Revolution represented diverse beliefs of the settlers. Most of the flags illustrated Texan's desire for total independence although a few signified the desire to reconcile with Mexico.

3: Joined Texans in fight to save the Alamo. | One of the first defenders to die in final attack. | Known for his honesty, humor, ability and character.

4: Stephen F. Austin | 1793 -1836

5: Led the colonization of Texas. | Texas demanded independence from Mexico. | Known as the Father of Texas

6: Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna 1794-1876

7: Leading villain in Texas history. | Captured in the Battle of San Jacinto then allowed to return home to Mexico. | Participated in the Mexican War and sold territory to the United States.
