1: Cannon's

2: 2.9-inch (10 pounder) Rife It is an iron cannon that fired enlongted shots. It is made by Captain Robert Parker Parrott. They were using the 2.9-inch until they created the 3-inch Parrott.

3: 12 pounder-bronze gun model (Napoleon) It weight about 1,200 pounds and fire a twelve-pound ball. It can shoot over 300 yards and solid shot will make a hole in the ground. It was us in the Union army and was first used in Tennessee.

4: What types of cannons were use during the Civil War? 2.9-inch (10 pounder) Rife- It is an iron cannon that fired enlongated shell made for the cannon. 12 pounder-bronze gun model (Napoleon)- This cannon weighed about 1,200 pounds this is the biggest cannon used in the Civil War.

5: What did the cannons do for the Civil War? The cannons helped alot for the Civil War because when they were fighting they needed the cannons for long range shots,when the cannon hit the defending opponents they were instantly killed. The cannon was the most frighting weapon use back in the CIvil War due to the impact of the destructive ball.

6: How often did they use the cannon in the Civil War? When they used the cannon it was every single time they had gone to war so they had the better outcome of the defending side. When they brought the cannon to war the first time everybody was scared to approach it because it was the newest weapon out there.

7: Who benefited from the cannon and who didn't benefit from the cannon? Who ever had the cannon was the ones who had the benefit from it because they had the upper advantage The ones who didn't benefit from it was the one's who didn't have the cannon because they were the one's who were killed and threaten by it.

8: What would have happen if the cannon was never built? They would never been able to kill as much people as they wanted to. With out the cannon more people would have had to do more hand to hand combat and more gun combat with the risk of getting killed.

9: What if the cannon was never around during the Civil War? If the cannon was never around during the Civil War the death rate would have went down more then it was due to close range shots and combat and the battle would have been longer due to people waiting to make the right move.

10: Would the Civil War life be different without the cannon? YES-The battlefield would less gruesome due to the cannonball hitting the enemy and separating the body parts making it too gory for any eyes to see.

11: Is the cannon still around today? YES-It is still around but it is not used for war or any harm it is used for everyday actions like, -Auctions, -Showings, -Decorations \
