S: The Rise and Fall of the Great Depression
FC: The rise and fall of the Great Depression
1: The great depression wasn't caused by just one thing. It was caused by a few different things such as people spending money they really didn't have, high tariffs and war debt, and overproduction.
2: The great depression lasted from October 29th, 1929 until 1941 at the start of World War II.
3: Life during the Great Depression was very challenging. There wasn't enough money to go around and as a result families suffered. Children went without food or clothes for days on end. Mothers became caregivers, teachers and workers all at the same time.
4: Everyone was affected by the great depression. Every family suffered, no one was safe. Any rich families that had large amounts of money invested in stocks watched their lives come crashing down around them and people who were already struggling for money stood hopeless as they lost their livelihood.
5: The great depression ended in 1941 when World War II started. Countries involved in the war needed supplies and looked to America to produce them, which meant that America was producing products and actually selling them.
