BC: The End
FC: The Great Depression. :(
1: The Great Depression Lasted from 1929 – 1941 (21 years)
2: The Great Depression occurred when the economy failed. Banks were closing, and people were losing their savings, their jobs, and even their homes. Factors that contributed to the Great Depression include the stock market crash, the over-investment in stocks by the public, the weakness of the agricultural sector, the lack of farmers' and workers' purchasing power, and the ineffective policies of the Hoover administration. With the stock market crash, the bank failures, and the loss of savings and homes, the entire economic cycle was depressed.
5: Everyone Was affected by the Great Depression.
6: Children Working.
8: Life in rural areas during the Depression was hard. Because prices for crops were very low, farmers received little for their efforts. They could not repay the loans that they had taken out on their farms in more prosperous times, and many lost their houses and farms.
11: Simple household chores were very difficult for women in the 30s even with the new "modern" conveniences. This iron, though easier to use than the old, heavy iron that had to be heated on a stove, was difficult to prepare and time consuming to use. Women had to fill the tank with gasoline, (which could be very dangerous) pump air through it, and generate the burner. Yet, it did work better than the old iron.
12: The Great Depression Ended because of WWII even though Franklin D. Roosevelt's New deal program helped American Citizens it was not the cause of the end of the Great Depression. WWII was the end of it because more people went off to war and that put woman working in factories and more people were in work. So technically WWII was the main cause of the end of the Great Depression but, the New Deal helped too.
