1: The Great Depression was caused by the Stock Market crash in 1929. People lost more than 40 million dollars because of this major crash that happened later on. This was just the start of things. | What Caused the Great Depression? | The Great Depression was not caused by just one thing but multiple things. It all started with the Stock Market crash. When the stock market went down hill, everyone ran to the bank for their money. When the bank ran out of money and still had people coming and asking for money, that is when it dug deeper. People also stopped purchasing items, which caused a reduction in the work place.

9: Life during the Great Depression was a terrible way to live. You made 35 cents every 3 weeks, schools cut back teachers because they did not have the money to pay them. People use to beg for food, thinking the depression was never ending until things started looking better. Most people, if they didn't have hope... They would have starved to death. People got whatever jobs they could get... Including being a water boy. You took what you got and made it last. Some lost their homes, family, friends, and jobs.

11: The Great Depression did not affect everyone the same way. Rich people had no worries, they didn't even realize others were hurting. Men had no work to support their families, the divorce rate lowered due to it being too expensive. Many could not get married yet. Women worked outside the home.. This impacted a lot of people and some suffered and lost their families.
