FC: The Industrial Revolution children's book
1: Farmers live in the city because of the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution is the start of machinery. Farmers had to move because of new machines one example is the Spinning Wheel. The Spinning Wheel helped make clothing. All of the cotton machines could do the work of 3,000 people because of this farmers were out of work.
2: the Industrial Revolution was industrialization brought with it new types of roads, trains and many other forms of communications which simply did not exist prior to industrialization. It was very hard to keep in touch with people in other parts of the country. News was spread by travelers or through messengers. | Some ways life was different before the Industrial Revolution was that there was no machinery. Farmers made most of their tools by hand. Another way life was different before
3: The Industrial Revolution came about because inventors were trying to make daily life easier by inventing machinery such as the light bulb and the steam engine. New technology affected the Industrial Revolution because of inventors inventing new | technology such as the light bulb, cotton gin, clock, the telegraph, and the steam engine. The steam engines increased pollution which made people and animals become sick.
4: There were many causes of the Industrial Revolution. Six of the major causes were new farming methods, | farmers were forced to move to cities, new technology, production of textiles, Men, woman, and | children made clothing, and increase of trade.
5: The Industrial Revolution affected rural to urban migration because farmers had to move to the city. It affected people because they had to move to a new urban land where the air is different and has more pollution and the people got more sick because of the pollution.
6: Some of the social and economic reforms was the religious reform, the temperance movement, changes in American family, and educational reform. Other social and economic reforms were the treatment of mentally ill, and abolition of slavery. Two of the economic reforms was the law against child labour | and factory facts. Some of the political reforms was the right to vote more broadly in democratic nations. The industry jobs gave women the opportunity for independence and identity. It created an upper class in America where before the upper class had been rejected.
7: Socialism is a political and economic theory of that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated. | Marxism i the political and economic theories of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, later developed as the basis for communism. Communism is a theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. Capitalism is an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit.
8: Socialism and Marxism(Communism) are different from Capitalism because Capitalism values Freedom and you own your own business or property. But with Socialism and Marxism(Communism) the government owns most or all of your business or property and they both value Equality.
