FC: The Progression Of The Atom

Robert Boyle | Robert Boyle was interested in determining the composition of gases and other substances, so he placed asses and other materials under pressure to see what would happen to them. Though his investigations and experiments he discovered that all matter was made by small particles. He also believed that differently shaped particles that group together would make different substances. | In The 1660's

In The.. 1770- 1780's.. | Oh Yea... Well Guess What? I'm Called The Father Of Chemistry... What About You? | Antoine Laurent Lavoisier studied chemical interactions. | Through his work, experiments, analysis, research etc he developed a system for naming chemicals. | He formulated on the concept of an element being a simple substance that could not be broken down any further.

Johny Dalton | Stated that each element is composed of a small particle called an atom. | He also stated that all atoms of particular elements have the same mass. Pointed out that atoms were small spheres. His theory of all atoms in particular elements have the same mass was proven to be true by todays scientists. | 1808!!

Thompson...J.J....Thompson - 1897 | Raisin Bun Model | Discovered the first subatomic particle called the electron. He also had said that an electron was part of an atom, but nobody believed him. | The raisin bun model described how the electrons were negatively charged particles that are attracted to the main atom and stick to it.

We Proudly Present To You... Mr. Nagaoka! | 1904

Ernest Rutherford 1938 | Ha! I Got A Nobel Prize & You Don't | Ernest Thompson had used J.J. Thompsons theory of the atom and had conducted further testing on it. | Ernest Rutherford discovered the central nucleus of an atom and won a Nobel Prize for his discovery. | He also said that the nucleus was only about 1/10 000th the size of the atom kind of like a green pea in a football field.

At The Time In 1913 | Niels Bohr, a physicist that worked with Ernest Rutherford published his theory stating that “Electrons do not orbit randomly in an atom, but move in specific circular orbits called “electron shells”.” | The particular movement of the electrons is caused by them jumping between shells, which is caused by either energy gain or loss.

Lady's and Jelly-Beans, Boys and Gorillas. Here is James Chadwick the almighty form 1932! | I am very sorry but, at this time i do not feel like saying any thing and ma definitely not in the mood for telling you about my accomplishments because that would be considered bragging.
