FC: The Rainbow By Hannah Nimo
nce, a very long time ago the only people on Earth were the Kowaiki-akas. They loved colors more than anything else in the world. | O
They also loved the Sun God because he would make it bright so that they could see the many colors around them. | The Kowaiki-akas praised the Sun God every day for all the happiness it brought them...
...and that made the Rain God very jealous. They never praised him and he wanted to be loved too. | So one day the Rain God tricked the Sun God into a deep sleep.
The Rain God now had the chance to show the Kowaiki-akas what it could do so that they would love him too. | Then he made it rain.
The Kowaiki-akas soon became extremely sad. | No one sang, smiled, or laughed. | But still they did not like the rain.
That made the Rain God anger. | All he wanted was for the Kowaiki-akas to love him. | So he thought he would try harder to get the same praise that the Sun God got.
So he made it rain even more. | It rained so much that it flooded the streets and filled the ocean. | The Earth was quickly being completely covered in water. | Image courtesy of Suicine on Flickr
That caught the attention of Mother Nature. | She went to the Rain God and told him to stop the rain and to wake up the Sun God before he destroyed the whole Earth.
The Rain God stopped the rain and explained himself and apologized to both the Sun God and Mother Nature.
Then Mother Nature decided that she will send her colorful birds across the sky after it rains... | ...so that everyone will appreciate the Rain God because they know he will bring the greatest colors of all...
 ...the Rainbow!
