The Scarlet Letter - Page Text Content

BC: The Scarlet Letter

FC: The Scarlet Letter Ashley, Kaitlyn, Victoria

2: The Letter A on Dimmesdale's Chest.

3: Dimmesdale feels so guilty about the sin he has committed, and even more so for not revealing it and standing on the scaffold from the very beginning, that beneath his attire he wears his own scarlet A on his chest.

4: Pearl's Red Tunic

5: Hester dresses Pearl in a scarlet red tunic, symbolizing that Pearl is another representation of the sin she committed. Even if she did not consciously do it on purpose.

7: Throughout the book, the scarlet A has been the symbol we tracked. It has great affects on every person in the town, not only the main characters. Even though it affects the main characters the most, how the others react to it throughout the book is very important.
