FC: Twas The Basketball Game Before Christmas
Twas the night before christmas when all through the gym not a basketball was stirring not even a bounce
The hoop was hung by the wall with care,In hopes that shaq would soon be there
The players were nestled all on there bench while visions of winning the playoffs danced in there heads.
and momma in her box-seat and kobe on the court had just settled our brains for a long winters game
when out on the court there arose such a clatter i sprang from the seat to see what was the matter
the moon on the breast of of the new-fallen sweat gave the lustre of mid-day to basketballs below
when, what to my wondering eyes appear but a miniature basketball sleigh and eight miami players
with a giant old driver so lively and quick i knew in a moment it must be shaq
more rapid than orlando magics his coursers they flew and he dunked and shouted and called them by name
"Now kobe! Now nawoski!now ming and hamel!on johnson!on duke!on regal and virgil!
to the top of the hop!to the top of the wall!now run away!run away!run away all!"
as dry leaves that before the will hurricane fly when they meet with an obstacle, mount to the playbook
so up to the hoop the players flew, with the sleigh full of basketballs and shaq too
and then in a twinkling i heard on the roof the bouncing and stomping of each little foot
as i drew in my head and was turning around, down the stands shaq came with a bound
he was dressed all in a jersey from his head to his foot, and his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot
a bundle of basketballs he had strong on his back, and he looked like a giant peddler, just opening his pack
his eyes how they twinkled!his dimples how merry! his cheeks were like basketballs, his nose like a cherry!
his drone big mouth was drawn up like a bow and the eard of his chin was as black as coal
the stomp of a pipe he held tight in his teeth and the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath
he had a broad face and a little round belly that shook when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly
he was chubby a right jolly old miami player and i laughed in spite of himself
a wink of his eye and a twist of his head soon gave me to know i had nothing to dread
he spoke not a word but went straight to his work and filled all the stockings then turned with a jerk
and laying his finger aside of his nose and giving a nod up the chimney he rose
he sprang to his sleigh to his team with a whistle and away they all flew like the down of a histle
but i heard him exclaim ere he drove out of sight happy christmas to all nd to all a good night!
