What Makes Boats Float? - Page Text Content

BC: That is what makes a boat float and what makes it bouyant.

FC: By Ian, Andrea, Angelica, Nick, and Nicole.

1: Closed bottom (no cracks or holes) so that water doesn't get in through the bottom.

2: Rounded eges so that water can't get in so easly.

3: Smooth surface so it has no wrinkles and doesn't rip so easily.

4: High walls so water doesn't get in and can hold a lot of cargo.

5: Buoyancy is the force that holds a boat up in water. A ship is buoyant because it's hollow.
