65: "The more you laugh the longer you live" | Christmas was always a special time with our Grandmothers coming to visit with us (no sharing of grandparents in our family as there were no cousins in our small family..snuggling in bed at night and smelling the Christmas Turkey and stuffing cooking as Mom, Grandma Eason and Grandma Martin gathered in the kitchen cooking as a team. The specific year pictured, Grandma Eason brought her dear friend, Beck from Wendell to visit...all the women had a fun time together! Julie
66: Six Flags Over Georgia Our first pay entry amusement park...I was amazed because I could ride any ride available! Julie
67: Bicycling There were some fun times on bicycles...Mom on her bicycle with 'seat' on the back (I was banned after getting my heel caught in the spokes) and Jan and I had banana seat Schwinn bicycles...with basket-those poodles would never ride in my basket-but I tried!! Julie

69: Vacations at Douthat State Park were always a treat...family time including hiking, paddleboating, horseback riding and early morning fishing filled the week. Some of my favorite memories were a meal cooked over the fire...heads still on the rainbow trout..ick!! Mom and Dad's scariest memory was the occasion when a black snake fell in front of my horse...and the horse began to run away! Julie
70: Hershey Pennsylvania and Amish Country...my favorite memories...flooding during the night when tent camping and forgetting my suitcase when we went to see the falls...I wore Daddy;s shirt to bed and for swimming...Julie

73: Poodle puppies! Born Oct, 1, 1971 Tiffy had 2 chocolate puppies and one black puppy...We sold each for $50 except chocolate puppy Chipper...he lived with us for 16 years! Lower pictures..did we really travel 4 hours to Wendall with 3 puppies and Mama dog in tow?

89: Many weekends were spent at the Cabin at the York River, VA. Dad purchased his old wooden boat that provided many hours of fun and fishing. Norris had inherited the property and we did not know from week to week who may be at the cabin considering he was a bachelor with custody of his 2 sons..we arrived many times to meet a new woman and her children...we were friends for a day...I still remember well the beautiful hydrangeas that bloomed each year...in the picture to the right, Grandma Eason and my great-aunt Sadie looked prepared to get a few cuttings!....Julie
