2: A- AstroDome Venue/Baseball Reliant Astrodome (AKA the Astrodome) is the world's first domed sports stadium. It is located in Houston, Texas, it opened in 1965 with the name Harris County Domed Stadium. It is a multi-purpose stadium, designed to facilitate both football and baseball. The capacity of the Astrodome for baseball is 54,816 and for football it is 62,439.

3: Ben Crenshaw Individual/Golf | Ben Crenshaw was a NCAA medalist in 1971 and 1973 and co-medalist in 1972 with teammate Tom Kite. He also led UT to NCAA championships in 1971 and 1972. In total he won 18 collegiate tournaments and PGA Tour wins include The Master's in 1984 and 1995.

4: C- Capitol 10K | Competition/Extreme The Statesman Capitol 10,000 is the largest 10K in Texas and the fifth largest in the nation. The Capitol 10,000 attracts everyone from the silly to the serious and has become an annual rite of spring in Austin, Texas.

5: D-Dell Diamond | Venue/ Baseball With the small cost of $25 million, the Dell Diamond (which is located in round rock) is the home to the Round Rock Express and many other minor league baseball team. The Dell Diamond is a very fun place to go to watch some very good baseball. Before the field was built it was a 85 acre corn field.

6: E-Earl Campbell Individual/Football | Earl Campbell was born on March 29th, 1955. When he was a college football player for the Texas Longhorns, he won the Heisman Trophy in 1977. He played professional football and is the Pro hall of Fame. He was the first player to be awarded the Davey O'Brien Memorial Trophy which is given to the most outstanding player in the Southwest Conference.

7: F-Disch-Falk Field Venue/Baseball Disch–Falk Field is the baseball stadium of the University of Texas at Austin. It's been home to Texas Longhorns baseball since it opened February 17, 1975. On that day, the eventual NCAA national champion Longhorns swept a doubleheader from St. Mary's by scores of 4-0 and 11-0. It replaced Clark Field as the home of the Longhorns.

8: Golf as we know it today originated from a game played on the eastern coast of Scotland in the Kingdom of Fife during the 15th century. Players would hit a pebble around a natural course of sand dunes, rabbit runs and tracks using a stick or primitive club. But it was banned in Scotland because it distracted soldiers. And when the ban ended it was not very well known. This changed though when King James IV started playing it and it became very popular. | G-Golf History/Golf

9: H-Chad Hedrick Individual/Extreme Chad Hedrick was born on April 17,1977 in Spring, Texas. He is a American inline speed skater and a ice speed skater. He revolutionized the inline speed skating world with his unique technique called the double push or DP. During his career he won 93 national championships and 50 world championships.

10: I-Italy Gladiators Team/Basketball The Italy Gladiators are a high school team in Italy Texas. Their colors are Gold and White and their head coaches name in Aidan Callahan. Their National ranking is 3188 and their state ranking is 339. Their Mascot is a Gladiator.

11: J- Texas Relay and Triple Jump | Competition/ Track | The Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays (Texas Relays) is a college racing event. As of 2011 there have been 84 Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. It is a HUGE event with a lot of talented athletes from arounf the country competing. It includes both track and field events such as Shot Put and Javelin and tons more.

12: K-Kimbrough Memorial Stadium | Venue/Soccer The largest on-campus stadium in NCAA Division II, Kimbrough Memorial Stadium has a seating capacity of 20,000 and has stood as a symbol of pride for West Texas A&M University fans since 1959.A synthetic granular-infilled playing surface, known as FieldTurf, was installed during the summer of 2003. This surface is soccer-friendly and has enabled the facility to host numerous sporting events in addition to football.

13: L-Lacrosse | History/Lacrosse | Lacrosse is one of the fastest games played on two feet. Also the sport is growing faster than any other sport in the world! With more than 6000 players it is just as popular as any other sport played in the United States.

14: M-BPms150 | Competition/ Cycling The BP MS 150 is a 180 mile bike ride from Houston to Austin that raises money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. About 13,000 people began the ride from Houston on Saturday morning, spent the night in La Grange, then made their way through Bastrop and finished at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin.

15: N-Nazareth Swifts | Team/Basketball | The Nazareth Swifts basketball team has always been good, last year in the state tournament they played Westlake High School and knocked them out of the Tournament. This next year they will not settle for any else but Champions and won't stop until they are.

16: S-Shell Houston Open Competition/Golf | The Shell Houston Open is a regular golf tournament on the PGA Tour. It is currently played in April at Redstone Golf Club in the Houston suburb of Humble, Texas. Shell and the Houston Golf Association are the main sponsors of the tournament. The 2011 purse was $5,900,000, with $1,062,000 going to the winner

17: J-Janie Potvin Individual/Swimming | JAnie Potvin was born in Broussard, Quebec Canada. She is a diver for Texas A&M. In the 2009-10 came in 8th in the finals in the 3 meter springboard and won the consolation final of the platform diving event. She also placed 27th in the 1 meter springboard and set a new school record mark in the platform diving event at the Big 12 Championship with a score of 333.65.

18: Q-Quad Four History/Rowing All eight types of racing boats, six of which are part of the Olympic GamesRowing is a sport in which athletes race against each other on rivers, on lakes or on the ocean, depending upon the type of race and the discipline. The boats are propelled by the reaction forces on the oar blades as they are pushed against the water. The sport can be both recreational, focusing on learning the techniques required,[1] and competitive where overall fitness plays a large role. It is also one of the oldest Olympic sports. In the United States, high school and collegiate rowing is sometimes referred to as crew.

19: Houston Livestock and Rodeo was founded in January 1931 when 7 men met for lunch at the Texas State Hotel. On April 1932 the first Show was held at the Democratic Convention Hall, but in 1937 it was torn down. Then in 1938 they do the show in the Sam Houston Coliseum and stayed there until 1966 where they move to the Astrodome complex, that year they had more than 40,000 people for a performance. Which was 5 times as much as the Coliseum could hold. In 2003 The 71st Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo celebrates its first year in its new homes: Reliant Stadium and Reliant Center where it is still held. 20: S- Austin High Soccer Team/Soccer | Austin High School is exceptional at all sports and there is no exception with soccer! Located in Austin Texas the Maroons hope to continue their great seasons and will not settle for anything less than this next year!

21: T-Tennis History/Tennis The history of tennis dates back several thousand years. The game was first created by European monks to be played for entertainment purposes during religious ceremonies. To begin with, the ball was hit with the hand. Soon the leather glove came into existence. This was soon replaced with an adaptive handle, the racket, for effective hitting and serving of the ball.

22: U-University of Houston | Team/ Basketball The Houston Cougars men's basketball team represents the University of Houston in Houston, Texas in U.S. NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. The university is a member of Conference USA. The team last played in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2010, and are tied for eighth in number of Final Four appearances.

23: V-Baylor Volleyball Team/Volleyball | The University of Baylor Volleyball team has been very successful over the years. with many wins and very few losses it is a very good group of girls! Their new Head coach Jim Barnes is hoping to continue their good records and take home some more trophies!

24: W-Cohl Walla Individual/Baseball | As a sophomore at the University of Texas, Cohl is a 6 foot 3 OF. Born in Austin Texas and still living here today he went to Lake Travis and had a fantastic High School career.

25: X-Xare History/Tennis Jai-alai is a ball game that originated in Spain’s Basque region and is played in a three-walled court with a hard rubber ball that is caught and thrown with a cesta, a long, curved wicker scoop strapped to one arm. Also know as Xare this sport is mainly played in Florida.

26: Y-Vince Young Individual/Football Vincent Young Junior was born on May 18, 1983, in Houston, Texas. After playing for UT for 4 Years and winning one National Championship game, he went on to the NFL and played for the Tennessee Titans. He is still playing there today after recovering from a torn ACL.

27: Z-Zilker Park Venue/Any One of the main parks in Austin Texas is Zilker Park. Zilker Park is the home of many events such as Acl and the Kite Festival. Also many people just come to hang out and play soccer with their friends.
