1: We are Eric, Sarah, and Tucker. We want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We would like to start by expressing our respect, admiration, and thanks for your courage right now. We can't imagine the feelings you have or will experience in your decision to plan an adoption for your child. We are excited that you would consider us as loving parents and we pray that this book will give you a glimpse of our lives.
2: About Eric - By Sarah - Eric is an incredibly Godly husband - Eric loves having fun. -He loves the outdoors including camping, kayaking, snowshoeing and hiking -Eric enjoys his job as a manager at an outdoor retail store. -He loves walking and playing with our dogs. -Eric is an incredible, devoted dad to Tucker and I have no doubt that he would also be an amazing dad to your child.

4: Believe it or not, blind dates do work! We were set up on a blind date in October 2007. On a fun day of canoeing both of us realized that we loved each other and could work through difficult situations together. Our love has only grown as we have gone through great joy and great loss in our six years of marriage. | How We Met
7: Our Marriage | We discussed when we were dating our mutual desire to adopt. While it has been our plan to adopt we were surprised to receive our diagnosis of infertility. During the challenging last few years, we have clung to God and to each other. Eric can tell with a single look when Sarah needs an extra hug. We are thankful for our hard times as we now know we can handle hard situations that arise during the journey of parenting. | Our marriage is a strong, faith-based marriage. We have worked hard to develop strong communication skills and make a great team. Sarah loves to cook. Eric is awesome at loading a dishwasher. Sarah manages the finances and Eric mows the lawn.
8: Tucker was born on May 31, 2013. We were blessed to be chosen by a brave birthmother to adopt Tucker. After a week-long stay in the NICU we took Tucker home. Our lives have changed in amazing ways. We are so thankful to be his parents. We have a greatly valued open adoption relationship with Tucker's birthmom.

10: Eric's Family We are so thankful that all of Eric's family lives within a half hour of us.
11: Tucker's first of many hikes with his grandparents. | Caleb, Eric's younger brother, was adopted as a baby. He also has a sister, Jennifer, who is married and they have one baby girl. Eric's parents look forward to having more grandchildren to love.. | Eric, Jennifer, and Caleb
12: Sarah's Family | Sarah has two brothers who are both married a nephew and a niece. She also has a younger sister.. Sarah's mom loves her grandchildren and can't wait for more grandbabies. | My dad, max passed | Grandma and her granchildren | Sarah and Caleb
13: Family vacation, May 2014 | Sarah's dad, Max, passed away unexpectedly in July 2011. We miss him greatly but have grown together as a family through this sad time. | Abby, Mom, Sarah, and Eric at Yellowstone
14: Eric's brother, Caleb (by adoption) | Eric was 9 when his parents chose to adopt Caleb. Caleb was only a few weeks old when he was brought home. Eric is so thankful for the choice his parents made to adopt Caleb. We could not imagine life without Caleb!
15: Sarah was 11 when her parents followed God's calling to become missionaries in The Gambia, West Africa. She lived in a small village with her family until she moved back to America for college. Sarah loved the adventures she got to experience while living in Africa. The people she ministered to will be lifelong friends.

19: Our Church and Bible Study | We are very involved in our church. We lead the college age students ministry. We have great joy leading this great group of students. We encourage one another toward great growth in our faith, and have an incredible amount of fun.
