1: Franz Liszt was born October 22, 1811 in Raiding Hungary. His Father, a talented amateur musician taught Liszt to play the piano. lived during the romantic era.
3: Childhood Liszt's musical talent appeared early as a child. At age 11 Liszt was introduced for Beethoven. By the time Liszt was 12, he was presented in Austria, Germany, and Hungary as a child prodigy at the piano. When Liszt was 10 his family moved to Vienna, there he studied with Carl Czerny and Antonio Saleri.
4: In 1823 Liszt's family moved to Paris. In Paris Liszt was denied admission to the observatory because of his youth.
6: Adulthood In 1827 Liszt settled in Paris, there he lived for a few years. 1839 Liszt started on a tour that took 9 years to finish. That established his fame. After the tour Liszt accepted the position of a court music teacher in Wiemar, Germany in 1848
7: Liszt composed some of the greatest pieces of music such as The Hungarian Rhapsodies the Faust symphonies. Liszt was always interested in helping young composers. Liszt also had a fine family background. Liszt's family was amazed at his ability to write and to be a critic.
8: Death Liszt died July 13, 1886 visiting his daughter Cosmia.
