3: Blitzkrieg The Germans were known to use the tactic of the Blitzkrieg. It means "lightning war." They concentrated their bests troops as an arrowhead to break through enemy lines, then they poured through the gap as quickly as possible. Other tactics focused on machine guns and covering their flanks with tanks. Surprise was on their side and each attack were lightning fast rapid advancements of tanks and infantry into enemy territory. Hitler wanted to achieve world domination with his army.
