Story Mode is Mixbook's AI-powered photo book creator. Simply answer a few questions, upload your photos, and Story Mode will automatically design a personalized photo book based on your memories.

It organizes your photos, creates layouts, writes optional captions, and generates three unique book versions for you to choose from. You can order your book as-is or customize every detail before printing.

Story Mode is currently available in the free Mixbook mobile app for iPhone and iPad (iOS). If you have an Android device, you can join our waitlist to receive updates when an Android app is available. Learn more about the mobile app.

1. Download or open the Mixbook app

2. Answer a few questions. Tell Story Mode your preferences for style, tone, and how much text you’d like included.

3. Upload your photos. Select photos directly from your device.

4. Choose your design. Story Mode generates fully designed books based on your design preferences throughout the experience

5. Review it. Fine-tune, swap photos, or adjust layouts in Mixbook Studio™ - or leave it exactly as is.

6. Print it. When you're happy with your book, place your order and Mixbook handles the rest.

Yes! Story Mode is an online photo album maker and is available in the free Mixbook app for iPhone and iPad (iOS). There are no additional fees to create a photo book with Story Mode—simply download the app, upload your photos, and let AI help bring your story to life.

While Story Mode is free, you'll need to purchase your photo book to get a professionally printed copy delivered to your door.

Once your book is generated, you can open it in Mixbook Studio™ and edit anything you like. This includes photos, layouts, captions, colors, fronts, page count, and cover design. Story Mode helps you get started faster, but the final book is always yours.

Story Mode can create any Mixbook photo book type, including Softcover, Hardcover, Layflat, and Premium Layflat Albums. It supports all available book sizes; however, at this time, Story Mode creates books in the square orientation only.
