3: The Mission The Sedgeley Club has had the distinct privilege of being easily recognized since its inception. The founders of our club had the good fortune and foresight to create a permanent home surrounding a structure that will be historically notable for generations. As stated in "The Light on Turtle Rock," Sedgeley Club has become the lighthouse keeper for Fairmount Park and the city of Philadelphia. We accept the responsibility to maintain this imposing edifice acknowledged by the National Historic Act in 1978.

55: The inspiration for this Guest Registry came to me after reading Sedgeley Club Board Minutes from 1897. It is recorded a member had asked, " When are we going to have linen napkins?" The response from Margaret Corlies was so simple, "When someone donates them?" Deborah J. Firth, December 2016 In loving memory of my mother, Martha LehmanBrooks
