2: Go Vols! | We spent New Year's Eve at the Chick-Fil-A Bowl in Atlanta, GA

3: "Families are like fudge ... mostly sweet with a few nuts." | A winter weekend getaway

4: A Dog's Life | Major loves playing with Oliver and taking afternoon naps!

5: We had a wonderful visit with Auntie Sue and Uncle Bob as they passed through Knoxville in April!

6: Amy came to visit us during my Spring Break. We had lots of fun hanging out and catching up since it was her first trip to Knoxville since our wedding!

7: EASTER | happy | We celebrated Easter and Barry's birthday at our house this year. It's always fun having family over for holidays!

8: I hope your dreams take you to the corners of your smiles, to the highest of your hopes, to the windows of your opportunities, and to the most special places your heart has ever known.

10: Our summer vacation to Destin, FL

12: We rented a house in Destin and we loved using the pool in the backyard

13: Papa enjoyed napping in the sun while we swam all day

14: We also spent time relaxing on the beautiful Destin beach...

15: ...and especially had fun going out to dinner at fun places each night

17: Our date night to the Acme Oyster House where I ate oysters for the first time!

18: The Red Bar was one of our favorite restaurants

19: Fun family bowling night

20: Ashlee and Leslie gave me a makeover so we could go take pictures on the beach!

26: James' 28th Birthday!

28: A Visit from Texas! Mom and dad came to visit us in June. We didn't have any major home improvement projects planned this year, so we just got to hang out and have fun!

29: Life brings simple pleasures to us every day. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories. | A fun afternoon photo shoot downtown!

32: Celebrating my parents 38th wedding anniversary at Naples Italian Restaurant where we had our first date!

38: Demolition Day | We discovered some termite damage and mold in our kitchen, so we ended up having to re-do our kitchen. It was a lot of work, but we are very pleased with our mini re-model!

39: Our finished kitchen! New tile, paint job, and all the termite damage is fixed!

40: David and Colene came to visit in Novermber. We had a fun weekend with them!

45: Allison' husband surprised her with an overnight getaway with some of her best friends for her 40th birthday. We had a blast!
