FC: 2011

2011 was a big year as we saw a lot of firsts. Peri went full time at daycare and then started pre-school in September. 3: Peri went to daycare for the first time at 18 months. It was a great ride as Miss Judy and Tita exposed her to so many things - long walks to Pier 39, hot dogs and sharing with 5 other children! It was a sad day when Miss Judy retired, but we will always remember the love that she showed Peri.

A day at the Bay Area Discovery Museum January 15

The | The water table was the big attraction today. Peri 'the Builder' also had a chance to come out while working on the ship...

The art of egg dying... | Step 1: Brad demonstrates how to dip the egg | Step 2: Peri gets involved | Step 3: Watch and wait | Step 4: Voila!!! | One happy Peri!

Hard not to smile when this is your life... | EASTER!

Josie's 4th Birthday | The festivities took place at the Lawrence Hall of Science where the kids were able to learn about live animals (rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas) and pet them. Afterwards, they had a yummy pizza party. As usual, Peri had a great time running around with Josie.

Peri's 1st Haircut April 17, 2011 | Sophia cut Peri's hair for the first time at Salon V, just 4 blocks from home. To get her prepared, she watched Daddy get his haircut (Sophia cuts all of our hair). She then had her turn. She was great - she sat still and loved the opportunity to look in the mirror for nearly an hour!

April More moments worth remembering... | Play date with Addie | Dinner with Uncle Chris, aka Tortilla Eater | P'Kloeso at it again! | Just wanted to take a photo...

Our little nudest in Sonoma | Peri's 1st dentist appointment. "I am 100% confident that she will need braces" was Bergen's declaration. Peri was a super star and loved her Princess toothbrush! | Grandma comes for a visit | Uncle Brian's birthday | May 19

Tia Celeste's Bridal Shower - May 22 | It was a beautiful day filled with family and friends. The flower girls had a lot of fun running around and helping open gifts...

Soccer Tots Telegraph Field (Pier 27) Peri took 3 sessions of soccer in 2011. "What Time is it Mr Wolf", parachute and stamps were some of her favorite parts of soccer. She refused to wear the white soccer shorts and huge green soccer socks... | She scores a goal ... and the crowd goes wild!!! | Water break... | The game is "DInosaur Eggs" and the goal is to take all of the eggs before the dinosaur wakes. If he catches you he will tickle you! | End of session photo... so long Soccer Tots!

... And in September Peri starts Marina Children Center | In August we say "Good-bye" to Miss Frances' daycare... | Peri attended Miss Frances' from February thru August 2011. She made a lot of wonderful artwork that we will have forever. But the biggest milestone is that she was potty trained at 2.5! Some of her friends at Miss Frances' were Savion (who also went to Miss Judy's), Addie (nanny share and swimming), Ariana and Tanner. | Day 1 | Day 2 | Peri did great at MCC. She immediately loved her new school and made friends fast. The best indication of how much she enjoyed her school - once inside school she ran off with her friends without so much as a kiss and 'good-bye' unless asked for it!

On the way to La Boulange one Saturday... | La Boulange is one of our favorite breakfast spots. On Saturday mornings we like to walk down and get our regulars before the line starts. On this particular morning, Peri decided that she wanted to be Pinkalicious. | September

Tia Celeste was home for wedding planning - we got a sneak peek at her dress!

Monterey in October In October we met Grandma and Grandpa Kloes in Monterey and spent 2 days together. We visited the Monterey Aquarium and the light house in Pacific Grove, to name a few spots. The Aquarium was very cool - the puffin and the otters were some of her favorite attractions. We also had fun walking up the decommissioned light house. But the best part of the trip was the little purple dolphin that Peri got at check in at the hotel... that little guy was never out of sight for the entire trip, and beyond...

at the aquarium | sharing some laughs with Grandpa | potty au natural

On October 9th, we had a dinner party. But before sitting down to our feast of hamburgers, we made a trip to Moscone Park... | getting ready for the walk to the park required a lot of dolly adjustments... | a slow start, but we're finally off! | must stop for a photo opp! | close | closer

the swings were a big hit | Vicky looking like her favorite E-Street band member | the walk back home was a bit chilly, so we made a break for it. at home the girls got squeaky clean during bath time

BOO!!! | It's Halloween Time | Peri wanted to be many things for Halloween, a tiger and a panda to name a couple. What we ended up with was a referee costume that came with a whistle. She trick or treated with her classmates along Union Streets - the merchants were anxiously awaiting their very scary appearance.

the children are excited for the tricking and treating to begin! | Peri and Rohan | Everyone came back with a heavy sack of candy loot - what more could their teachers and parents ask for!

The teachers at Marina Children - Mr. Doug, Miss Kimberly, Miss Nila (missing are Miss Cameron & Miss Terri)

A visit to the Academy of Sciences during the holidays provided hours of entertainment - carolers, running, amateur Christmas card photo sessions and man made snow. What a day!

Necessary photo - has to be taken every time! | Amateur photo session - Ella helps us prepare for our impending family of four!

'Tis the season | Unwrapping the ornaments is just as good as unwrapping gifts!

The final product | This is our last holiday season as a threesome... next year this time 'Macaroni' will be here to ring in the holidays!!!

An amazing day filled with great friends, laughter, food, and of course - running around!

From unwrapping gifts, attacking Brad, running around the house to getting ready for dinner - the fun never stopped! Many thanks to our wonderful hosts for making it such a memorable holiday!

DECEMBER | Raindrops keep falling on my head... | Bring your child to work (and meetings) day... | "Tee-hee" | An infrequent shot of Mommy and Peri that had to be memorialized here!

Nicole and I swapped days to watch the girls since both schools were closed for the holidays. For my day with them, we walked to Fisherman's Wharf where we tried to find the sea lions (but they had been evicted), road on the merry-go-round (twice!) and had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe (frightened the girls so much that each one occupied one of my legs for the entire lunch). In all, a wonderful day! | Play date with Addie December 28

December 29 A day with Papa, Josie & Gabriella Papa brought Josie and Gabriella over to have lunch and go for a walk. During all the fun, we managed to capture a few of moments... | What a great day!!!

It's hard to believe another year has passed. We feel blessed for all of the amazing moments we have shared with family and friends. And we are even more excited about 2012 and our life as a foursome!
