S: Looking Back at 2011
BC: That's not all folks... on to 2012
1: God has been beyond faithful to our family this year. Cody continues to grow and prosper and already turned a year in August. We have been blessed with the news of baby number 2 due next June 2012. We had the opportunity to see most of our family at Christmas and all of them during the summer. Darren continues at Coral Springs Christian and I joined him at the school in August to teach Kindergarten. We look forward to seeing what God has planned for us in 2012.
2: January | Cody's Milestones: First tooth, learning to sit up, adding carrots to his diet. | Cody: 5 months old
3: We headed to Orlando for a Bible conference at RC Sproul's church. We went to downtown Disney where it was freezing. Darren was not impressed with his tourist sweatshirt.
4: February | Big Night Out We had a babysitter come for the first time. Darren and I went to Vizcaya Gardens in Miami. for a moonlight tour. We sipped wine and walked through the gardens . What a great night!
5: Grandpa and Grandma De Boer visit | On the bottom you can see Cody made his first art work. He pooped on the floor and squished it around with his feet. Stinker bombs! | Cody was spoiled rotten as usual. H e loved his new hungry caterpillar book and stuffed animal. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and just enjoyed their visit .
6: First trip to the beach | Auntie Diana visited in February so we headed out for Cody's first beach excursion
7: 7 month pictures | March | Kuypers visit and Cody meets his future wife, Lexie Jo | Raelle VanMaanen getting ready to leave for Iowa | Country Fair
8: Happy St. Patty's Day | Las Olas Parade
9: Such a big boy! He was born with a wad of hair and it just kept on growing! When I couldn't do his curl on top, it was time for a trim. He was such a pro! Just smiled the whole time.
10: April | Grandpa and Grandma decided to join us down in Florida for Easter. It was so nice to have family here for the holiday. Brent, who is leaving for Iowa soon, joined us too.
11: Grandma Looyenga visits! | Over spring break Mom came out for a visit. We went shopping and headed to the park. | . Mom was trying to take a picture with her cell phone and had it pointing the wrong way! Tee hee!
12: This is my first mother's day. I am so proud to be called your mom. You are such a joy in my life! To celebrate the special grandmas in your life, we gave you a tattoo that said "Gram." | May
13: Whenever Auntie Di comes around, we love to go to the beach! She stayed by us after her cruise.
16: Looyenga Vacation | Smokey Hollow, Wisconsin | June
17: The Looynga crew met up at these awesome cottages. We played on the floatables, went to the zoo, ate meals together, and just enjoyed each other/s company. | Cody 10 months
18: June | Grandpa and Grandmas' house | Cody was thrown an early birthday party with guests, presents, and even cake- can we say spoiled rotten?
19: We went to a baby shower for Rachel. | We met college friends and their kids- so good to see them! | Tim & Laurie De Jong's boys getting so big! | Cody got to "meet" his cousin for the first time
20: The girls headed over to the Cedar Lake parade
21: Shawn, Kelly, & Baby Trey stopped by to play with Cody.
22: Great Grandpa and Grandma Terpstra After our family trip, Meg, Drew, and I headed to Michigan to see a friend's wedding. Then we drove half way back to Indiana with Mom, Grandpa, and Grandma to stop by Cracker Barrel. Always fun to see them!
23: Ft. Myers Getaway | We headed across the state with our Bible Study group friends: Jamie and Joy Poole, Brien and Kelly Myer and baby Caleb. The boys golfed while the girls hung out at the pool. We also got a chance to head to Aurelios' Pizza- a first for the non- Mid- westerners. This was our last hurrah before the Myers moved to Texas.
24: HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY
25: August | We invited our friends over for a little dessert to celebrate Cody's first birthday. He loved the cupcakes!
26: Universal Studios The Youth Group headed up to Orlando to watch Christian bands play. Code Man stayed in the hotel while we rode the roller coasters and drankButter Beer in Harry Potter World. He joined us at night to watch the bands.
27: September | We rented bikes in Shark Valley. Cody kept wanting to take his helmet off. In the wind we struggled, but did great on the way back. | To say goodbye to Kelly, the girls (Barb and Annalee) went to El Mariachi's. | Darren's 28th B-day We went to The Melting Pot. Such a romantic getaway
28: My Little Bee | We went to about three houses and we were done. Cody dumped out his candy and started nibbling on a few | Okay, so he didn't love it at first
29: October | At a Crusader's football game and Cody's scarecrow | We went with Lance and Barb to a Panther's game | At the park
30: It's football time!! | Cody went to go watch daddy play football | Cody had his shirt off so Carter had to have his off too | I made Cody's turkey shirt in the morning
31: Pete and Nan Whitney invited us to share with their family
32: Darren surprised me with a trip to Sea World. He booked a hotel and we headed to Orlando. | Thanksgiving break
33: Cody loved the shows and touching the sting rays
34: De Boer Christmas Indiana | We got to celebrate Christmas in Mom and Dad's beautiful new addition. Wonderful food and presents as usual. | Cody's special box | Laughing over people getting tased.
35: J O Y | We got to meet baby Chloe for the first time. What a hunny.
36: Van Schouwen's Ugly Ugly Christmas Sweater Party
38: Looyenga Christmas | We always love getting together with family around Christmas time. We headed up to see our Michigan family, open presents, and just enjoy each other.
39: Mom headed out to Minnesota to see Quinten,Brianna and Jason's new baby. We got to hang out with Bren and Kel and their girls. We played games and even had a movie night. Drew proudly showed us his new work place.
40: BIG NEWS | #2 is in on the way! We wanted to tell in person so we had to wait til Christmas. I made shirts that said "Big Cuz," "Lil Cuz," and mine said "Lillest cuz" to tell Darren's family. Then Cody wore a shirt that said "Big Bro" for the Looyenga family. | Big Bro, Cody with the stroller (see the baby) | Due June 24, 2012

44: Cody's Buddies | Barb, Max, Kelly, and Caleb at Caleb's baptism. | I was so blessed to get to know Kelly and Barb while staying home with Cody. We would meet at Panera or someone's house. | Caden, the little boy I babysat
45: Cody was invited to his friend, Jack's birthday party. He got to go to a kid gym and jump and bounce all night long. He loved it! | It's so fun seeing my college friends all starting their own families. Rachel, Hillary, Stephanie, AC, Amanda Bucca, Me, Ruthie, and Sue.
