BC: About author My name is B. I am from Ukraine. Now I live in Sydney and study in an Intensive English Centre .

FC: Chinese New Year

1: There is a special lunar calendar in the Chinese culture with 12 animals :Dragon Ox,Dog,Rat,Snake,Monkey,Tiger,Pig,Horse,Goat, Rooster,Rabbit.

2: My zodiac sign is the Tiger. Usually Tigers are born to be leaders.They are daring fighters and they are capable of standing up to what they think is right.

4: 2011 is the Year of the Rabbit on the lunar calendar so Chinese people celebrate it with all customs and traditions like long time ago>.

6: Chinese people celebrate New Year for 15 days by having big festivals. With feasts and dragon dance at the end of celebration.

8: Dragon dance TheDragon dance is the most interesting part of celebrating New Year. There are about 15 people in each dragon.The dragon is usually red, gold and green.He is a symbol of good luck.

11: Feast for Chinese new year Chinese people have special traditions : spring rolls and dumplings are the food for Chinese New Year . Chinese people cook a lot of food for all 15 days of celebration and you can smell beautiful Chinese food on the street . And dumplings are everywhere .
