The kids, and even the animals, had fun on the Easter Egg Hunt around our house and the backyard on Easter Sunday. The Easter Bunny hid a couple eggs that were very hard to find. Christopher had to find the orange, blue and green eggs, while Katie had the pink, yellow, and purple eggs. Unfortunately Bruce had to work Easter morning and missed out on the festivities.

so many | Each memory we keep with care means future happiness to share.

LIVE WELL LAUGH OFTEN LOVE MUCH

At schook, Katie made me this beautiful teapot with a slot to hold a package of peppermint tea. I still love the homemade gifts!

It's become a tradition for us to go to the Hitchin' Post in High River for burgers and milkshakes on Mother's Day!

Life brings simple pleasures to us every day. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories. ~Cathy Allen

Christopher graduated from grade 8 in June 2011. The school hosted a small ceremony followed by refreshments and a dance. Christopher blessed me, although grudgingly, with the first dance (they kind of had to!). It was very emotional watching Christopher get his 'diploma' - he's growing up so very fast.

We booked a Sunset Sail one night in Key West. It was spectacular! The weather was so lovely, but not very good for sailing as there wasn't a breath of wind. We had champagne, beer, and soft drinks. We cruised around the Gulf of Mexico before watching a magnificent sunset. This was a highlight of our trip to Key West.

 Summer Time!

 HAPPY 14th BIRTHDAY

I thought this was a cool picture. I just wanted a hug! | Christopher got a new cell phone as his birthday gift from us. Katie gave Christopher "nose guards" for his longboard.

Grandpa Wright gave Christopher $50 in toonies. That Grandpa, he's pretty creative sometimes!

Christopher's "cake" was a coconut cupcake from Crave. The rest of us got the little ones. For dinner, we went to Baton Rouge restaurant for ribs. We enjoyed a spinach and artichoke appetizer. Yummy!

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Rina's 43rd Birthday. Dad surprised me with Crave cupcakes! I was so touched that he thought to do that! Thanks Daddy!

We spent a week in Palm Springs in October. The sun shone all day, EVERY day, and the temperature was in the low 90's the entire time. PERFECT!

Cohen Jeffrie Landry entered the world on Friday, October 14, 2011. Cohen is my niece Lindsay's little boy, so he's my great nephew! He's about a week old in these pictures. Such a cutie!

 Trick or Treat

We picked our pumpkins out at the Farmer's Market and they gave us a deal so we ended up with four pumpkins. The kids both did a fantastic job creating their pumpkins. We even let Katie use a knife!

Katie dressed up as a referee this year for Halloween. We picked up the costume in Palm Springs. What a cutie! Christopher threw on a mask and dressed in black - that was his costume!

It's The Little Things In Life That Matter

December 18 - today was the Westjet Children's Christmas party at Spruce Meadows. We had a great time as a family. Katie got a tattoo and a snowflake painted on her face, we visited the reindeer and the horses, the kids and Bruce had an impromptu snowball fight, and we went on a wagon ride. Great day!!

 J O Y

Christmas Eve at our House Every year the kids get to open one Christmas present on Christmas Eve, and I get to pick it out! Every year I get the kids pajamas and that's what gets opened on Christmas Eve. Christopher always says "it's time to open our pajamas", and he's always SO excited about it as you can tell by his expression in the photos (insert sarcasm). He doesn't like pajamas anymore but it's become a tradition, so too bad! Katie, on the other hand, LOVES getting pj's
