FC: Addison is Eight! | My 8-year-old Year! June 29, 2011 through June 28, 2012
1: Happy birthday, Miss Addison!!! You are turning 9 years old. Your 8-year-old year was a roller coaster of good times and bad times for our family. Through it all, your smiles and silliness surrounded us. You are growing into such a beautiful, thoughtful girl. Love you so much! Love, Mommy :)
2: Make a wish! | My 8th birthday was like no other birthday! My mommy was staying in the hospital in Milwaukee, so Grammy and Papa drove Logan and I down to visit her and to have a birthday party in her hospital room. Daddy ordered yummy pizza from Eduardo's and then we ate cake and I opened presents.

4: GrandparentKidsCamp 2011 | In July, Grammy and Papa brought Logan and I to Waypost Camp for GPK. Our theme was Christmas in July, so we got to shake the tree, one of our favorite traditions. I spent a lot of time doing Callie's hair
5: Coloring Mommy's Hair | After my mommy's chemo started, her hair was going to fall out. So we decided to have a little fun and color her hair all funky colors! We took Mr. Sketch markers to her hair, and look how pretty it turned out!
6: Elcho Weekend | Grammy, Papa, and Kenzie took Logan and I to Elcho for a weekend on the lake. We had fun riding the pontoon boat. The weather was SUPER hot, though, and we lost power. But it was still a fun time!
7: Camp Wabansi | I joined my neighborhood friend Madisen Wucherer at Camp Wabansi in August. We especially enjoyed "Rock Star Day." We did our hair all "cool" and wore funky clothes and glasses...
8: Grammy and Papa brought Logan and I on a "last days of summer" field trip on August 30th. We drove to the tip of Door County and took a ferry to Washington Island. Logan and I even got to drive the ferry! | Washington Island
9: My first day of 3rd grade was on September 1st. Mrs. Koelpien was my new teacher. She was REALLY nice. I was excited for the new year, and to see my friends again.
10: We took a trip to the camper on Saturday, September 10th. Our favorite restaurant in Door County is PC Junction, so we went there for lunch. We even took time to ride the funky bikes around the forest racetrack at the "Sugar Shack."
11: Bringing Friends to Harbour Village | I got to bring Greta Brzezinski with me to Harbour Village in September to sleep over. Spencer Kline joined my brother for a playdate that day as well. We had a blast on the bouncy pillow and making fun creations out of candy.
12: Light the Night Walk - September 23, 2011 | On Friday, September 23rd, my whole family and a bunch of our friends (young and old) joined together to walk in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Light the Night Walk" at Fox Cities Stadium. Our "Emily's Ninjas" team raised over $10,000! The walk was super fun, and we even saw fireworks afterwards!
13: A Trip to the Apple Orchard | Grammy and Papa took us to Apple Valley Orchards in October...

17: We got to go trick-or-treating while we were visiting Mommy and Daddy in Milwaukee. We went to a street in Wauwautosa where everybody was outside in their driveways with bonfires. We got LOTS of candy. Then, we went trick-or-treating in Grammy and Papa's neighborhood the very next day! | Halloween in Milwaukee

19: PUMPKIN-PITCHING at Grammy and Papa's House
20: TRAINFEST! | Mommy and Daddy took us on a fun outing in Milwaukee when we visited in November. We went to Trainfest at State Fair Park! Then we ate lunch at Organ Piper Pizza and got ice cream on the way back to the "home-tel."
21: Thanksgiving | We spent a long weekend in Milwaukee with Mommy and Daddy. Logan and I made the turkey centerpieces with Mommy...they were delicious! On Thanksgiving Day, we watched the Packers beat the Lions and at a yummy dinner at the "home-tel" with Aunt Pam, Kenzie, Grammy, Papa, Mommy, and Daddy.
22: Grammy and Papa took us to The Polar Express at the National Railroad Museum in December. We listened to Stu Smith read us the story, got to drink hot chocolate on the train, and got our very own bells and tickets!
23: Salvation Army Bell Ringing Logan and I rang bells for the Salvation Army before Christmas. We got to wear cool red aprons and handed out candy canes to anyone who put money in the kettle. We liked helping others by ringing bells.
24: Milwaukee Wave Game My mom and dad surprised us with tickets to a Milwaukee Wave soccer game on Saturday, December 10th. We went to the game early and got to be part of the announcement of the starting line-up by being part of the "human wave." We also had fun making music with the vuvuzuelas!
25: Logan's 6th Birthday Party My family got together to celebrate Logan's 6th birthday in Milwaukee since my Mommy had to stay close to the hospital there. We went to a new favorite pizza place of ours, Organ Piper Pizza. We requested lots of great songs that the organist played. My brother opened presents, and we even had individual cakes in jars!
26: Christmas with the DeVillers Grandma, Owen, Jon, and Amy came over to our house this year on Christmas Eve, just one day after my mommy got home from Milwaukee! We ordered Godfather's Pizza, as is the tradition in the DeVillers' side of my family. We almost burned down the house when the box fell onto a candle. But all was well. We enjoyed pizza, treats, and presents.
27: Good-bye for now to Fowler the Elf! | We had to say "Good-bye for now" to our Elf, Fowler, on Christmas Eve, just like always. We had fun with Fowler this year again!
28: Christmas Morning! We woke up on Christmas morning to find about a million presents under our tree! I don't know how Santa fit them all into his sleigh!
29: Christmas with the Kauths | We spent a nice day with Grammy, Papa, and Kenzie on Christmas. We opened presents, ate yummy food, and found oranges in all our stockings!
30: Winter Birthday Party We had a fun time with my family at the Bay Shore Inn again this year for the annual Winter Birthday Party. Papa and I have summer birthdays, so we planned the events. We had lots of food, swimming, and games!
31: Every year during Super Bowl weekend, my family goes to the Wilderness Waterpark in WI Dells. We swim A LOT and have yummy food and watch the Super Bowl! This year, we didn't get to watch the Packers, but we had fun anyway! | Super Bowl Dells Weekend
32: Kenzie's 31st Birthday
33: We had so much fun at the Wilderness this year that we had to go back...less than a month after our first visit! This time we took my friend Madysen Held with us. We went swimming and on all the water rides, and I even went climbing above the arcade! It was nervous at first, but then started climbing around like a monkey!
34: Girls' Day Out! Over spring break, my mom, Grammy, Aunt Kenzie, and I took a little road trip to Oshkosh. We went shopping at the outlet mall and found some cute summer clothes. Then we had a really fancy dinner at The Melting Pot in Appleton. I loved using the long forks to cook my food! Dessert was my favorite!
35: Easter Preparations! I love getting ready for Easter! This year I helped my mom make peanut butter birds nests. Then we delivered the treats to some older friends who really liked visiting with us at their houses when we made our "deliveries."
36: Decorating Eggs I always enjoy dyeing Easter eggs with my family. We write on them with crayons first, and then soak them in the dye for as long as we can. We always make really bright colors!
37: Happy Easter | We had fun getting ready for the bunny's visit this year. We left out carrots and water. Then, on Easter morning he left us some great baskets with bike helmets and all sorts of fun things!
38: We went to my Grammy and Papa's house for Easter brunch. It was fun hitting golf balls into Baird Creek. The Kleins came to visit for a few hours, too! I loved playing BUNCO with my family! | Easter Sunday
39: We spent Earth Day weekend at Sand Bay Resort in Door County with the Schaepe family. I loved splashing around with little Talan! We had fun watching Cars, too! | A Weekend at Sand Bay...
40: GEOCACHING ADVENTURE | My mom and I tried out a new activity while we were staying at Sandy Bay in Sturgeon Bay. We went geocaching! We found a cache in my mom's phone and went off in search of "treasure." We found one in a tree with eight big limbs (clue was "octopus." We left some "swag" and took some "swag!" After geocaching, we went to town and went "bowling at Cherry Lanes...if you could call it bowling!!! Then we had yummy pizza from Sonny's and went swimming some more!

44: My Dance Recital I performed in my first non-Bernie recital on May 20th. I did a jazz routine to "Determinate" and a tap routine to "Dig Down Deeper." I love dancing for Barb's Center for Dance, although I do miss Bernie and the girls in my old class!
45: Girls Night | Harbour Village | My friends Madi Wucherer and Madysen Held came to spend the night at my camper on June 1st.
46: My family had fun going to see a Brewer game with the Schaepes on June 3rd. Tailgating was yummy, and we loved throwing the ball. I tried to catch a ball to take home, but Talan got one instead.
47: Angel on my Shoulder Golf Spectacular | Right after school was out, my family headed up to Eagle River, WI for a fun golf outing. My dad and grandpa played in it while my mom, Sarah, Logan, Tessa, Trent, and I hung out at the pool and shopping!
48: While Daddy was golfing with Papa, Mommy took Logan and I into "Downtown" Eagle River. We explored lots of her old favorite stores, and some new ones, too. I loved Grandma's Toy Box and the Rock Shop. Then we ate a yummy lunch at Soda Pop's. I loved their orange soda in the glass bottle! | "Downtown" Eagle River
49: My First Bellin Run My mom, her friend Sarah, and I walked in the Bellin Run on Saturday, June 9th. It was my first time, and I did a great job making it all 6.2 miles!
50: A Visit from Flat Stanley!
52: Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya | I spent 4 days at Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya with my friend Madisen Wucherer again this year. We really liked going on "The Rave" (big floating island) and seeing King Snappy the Turtle. We had campfires, swim time, and yummy meals. I even came home with another pillow pet!
