FC: Nathan, Steven & Jason
Nathan, Steven & Jason | Hello! Thank you for taking time to read more about our family. Our partnership is unified with acceptance, love, and devotion. It is these core values that have kept our relationship strong for ten years and remains the foundation for our family now and in the future. We met on August 11, 2002. Shortly there after we established a home together in 2004. We look forward to planning a civil union sometime in 2012 in honor of our 10th anniversary and we have hope that one day soon we will be legally recognized as a couple and share in the same benefits as our family and friends. We were blessed with our son Nathan Cole in 2010 and are again expanding our family through adoption. Our prior and current experience with AFTH has been wonderful. Open adoption has allowed us reciprocal communication with Nathan's birth parents and their families through pictures, letters, and an annual visit. We feel everyone involved is leading happier and healthier lives with this window being kept open to the life of the child, their history, and future. And so, we invite you to take a moment to learn our story.
Both of us are hard working individuals. However, having an organized and balanced work and home life is important to us. We have a great support network that helps us achieve this balance: one another, family, friends, and early childhood education benefits. Steve works with a financial institution with 14 years of continued service. He regularly volunteers his time to benefit local charities. Steve's favorite pastime is hunting for treasures and bargains at local thrift stores, resale shops, and garage sales. Steve also has a green thumb and enjoys the beauty of nature. He has landscaped most of our 1/2 acre yard with flowers, plants, trees, and a koi pond. His talents have helped create a peaceful sanctuary that we long to return to at days end. Jason graduated from college in 1994 and holds his BA in Elementary Education. Soon after finishing school he was awarded an entry level position with a relocation company in 1997. Jason has been with this same company for 15 years and is a vice president and shareholder today. Jason is artistic and likes to express himself creatively through art, music, and dance. His talents have helped create a warm and welcoming home, especially at holiday time. We are passionate about our large and loving families. Most relatives live within a 50 mile radius and we see them on a regular basis. Steve is one of twelve siblings; Jason is one of three. In addition to cherishing our son Nathan Cole, we both have young nieces, nephews, and godchildren that we love very much. We are also very fond of our four legged family members: our two dogs are Holly & Belle; our two cats are Tricks & Treats. | "We are passionate..."

"And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." - Abraham Lincoln Nathan Cole came to us on January 6, 2010. He is a bright, polite, charming, and wonderful boy who steals the heart of every person he meets. His smile is contagious and his laughter infectious. He loves to draw, read books, and play outside. Nathan has the sensitivity, patience, and leadership to be a great big brother. We want him to develop and share in the same strong sibling bonds that we have been so fortunate to have. | Introducing: Nathan Cole
Home & Traditions | We live on a cul-de-sac in a 4 bedroom home in a middle class suburb. Our neighborhood is racially diverse and filled with families with young children. We are bordered by 2 parks, an old fashioned main street, walking paths, and fireworks go off right over our house on the 4th of July. Our local school district is excellent and the area has a low crime rate. We love our home and hope to keep our roots here for many years to come. Whether it's keeping old ones or creating new ones, having and passing on traditions is important to us. Here are a few of our favorite traditions that we look forward to all year long.
