S: Antigone Project

FC: Antigone | Nicole Alexander Theatre 1

2: Antigone loved her brothers and was saddened that they were both killed and wanted them both to be buried properly like princes then should. Creon said that no one would bury her other brother that did not find favor with Creon. She did not want him treated so terribly.

4: Antigone wanted to bury her brother properly, even if he was not favored by his uncle. | In Greek Times it was disgraceful for a prince to not be buried.

5: It was duty for Antigone to bury her brother.

6: Antigone was brought up in a society that restricted women but she was given the right to bury her brother according the laws of the Greek Gods. She was fulfilling her family duty, but was defying her uncle's orders. Despite him being the king, Antigone believed that she was not in the wrong.

8: Antigone can be summed up in one word: defiant. She knew she was justified and defied her uncle until her last breath.

13: Antigone is strong, defiant and understands her role and roles of women in her society but does understand that the law was on her side, suggesting she was educated.
