1: Boom! Sparks fly! Dust soars! Out in the mist of all space there is an explosion!! Dust and particles flying everywhere! Going miles and miles far away. | Nebula
2: As the sparks fly, there arrives a star named Betelgeuse, a big bright star with an enormous amount of dust. Betelgeuse confused by where he is, so he tries to make his way around. | Protostar | <--- Baby is like a human protostar.
3: Birth Certificate | Name: Betelgeuse Color: Red Surface Temperature: 3,200 degrees Celsius Absolute Magnitude: -15 Luminosity: 63,000 times brighter than the Sun. Blood Type: M Average Radius: 5.5 AU (Astronomical Units) Distance- 520 light-years from Earth Star Spectrum: Hydrogen, Helium, Calcium, Lithium, Sodium, Magnesium, Iron, Neon Main Characteristics: Super Giant, Cool and very bright
4: Main Sequence | Betelgeuse has grown. He is now billion years old and running on hydrogen fuel, which is causing him to get brighter and hotter. The helium fusion is starting to form in Betelgeuse's core. He is up and ready for an obstacles that life has to offer him. | *The H-R Diagram tells the brightness and temperature of a star. ---->
6: Betelgeuse is now a Supergiant, the hydrogen in him has left so he is forced to burn helium to increase his temperature. But at the same time, all Betelgeuse wants is a friend like him. He will do everything in his core to find that special friend, "Oh no" Betelgeuse says. In Betelgeus' path is a giant black hole. Somehow he passes it easily and runs into another star! | Supergiant Needs A Super Friend
7: Betelgeuse becomes friends with this new star. They go through thick and thin together. Always by each others side. They believe that their friendship was destined to be.
8: Black Hole | The friendship that Betelgeuse so luckily found, lasted for what seemed like a life time. Because they were very old they were not hot enough to fuse carbon from their cores. Their outer layers were starting to shed. And soon enough their cores collapsed and the two friends became black. So their plans worked. They were best friends until the end. =)
9: * The mass of the star determines the final fate of the star after it runs out of energy. Betelgeuse has a very large mass. (30 times greater mass than the Sun).
10: Stellar Remnants | Betelgeuse's new found friendship will live on in the history of star because of the dust and gas they gave off after they became black holes. It's like they sprinkled happiness over the whole universe. And the stars that become of their stellar remnants will hopefully be just as lucky.
