BC: finally reaching the end of Caroline's Mixbook
FC: Let me introduce you to my | before they kill me for sharing photographs of them with the public
First, I must share my amazing grandmother who used to be a travel agent and has seen the world three times over. | She is always there to be a listening ear over a cup of over-priced coffee (her treat). I love her dearly.
This is my dad. Though he is an engineer by trade, he is not above doing silly things like painting ceramic frogs or generally being goofy. | He loves both of the dogs, Zoloft (the white one) and Oreo (the gray and white one), and they especially love him since he gets to work from home (telecommute) most days.
Born in Ohio, he misses the snow and relishes in it when it occasionally falls here. | Zoey is not a big fan of snow, especially not the stupid shoes she has to wear.
This is my mother. She obviously hates both of the dogs and never spends any time with either of them. | She has been a social studies teacher at the high school level for several years but is now semi-retired, teaching science.
She enjoys taking the dogs to the park despite her horrible allergies to anything green. | Someone made the mistake of giving her a laptop; she is becoming increasingly both techno-saavy and addicted to Facebook. | Though she was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, she has grown accustomed to the mild Texas weather and looks ridiculous when bundled up.
This is one of my brothers; he is in the Marine Corps. As you can tell by the left-hand picture, he looks smashing in the dress uniform. The upper-right picture is after he finished a grueling training exercise; the lower right is a closeup of him in a group in the early days of his career.
As you can tell by these photographs, my brother never has any fun. I have no idea what he was saying in the top picture, but it might begin with, "Alas! Poor Yorick...." The bottom-left picture was taken by yours truly at my other brother's wedding rehearsal and is typical of their relationship. The bottom-right picture shows more of my brother's inherent goofiness via his ridiculous "cool guy squint."
This is my previously-mentioned other brother. He inherited our mother's beautiful wavy hair; I, unfortunately, didn't. | Nature has its revenge, however; he often gets called "miss" from behind, especially in foreign countries.
He somehow managed to snag himself a wife, probably by making her laugh. | He lives in Chicago, near where we both went to college.
A page for me? Hardly! My darling dogs are never seen enough, likely because they are inside dogs who both love napping on the couch. | When the couch happens to be occupied by a person, that person is undoubtedly sat upon.
Dad's chair is a favorite of Zo's, especially when he is away. When both alphas are away, the two watch and wait by the garage door. | Oreo is always ready to play fetch, as can be noted by his adorable little wagging tail as the human (foot pictured) holds up his favorite toy to fetch.
