6: Thank you for adopting me, giving me a home, a family and a great childhood. Growing up, becoming a man and being able to talk to you about anything and having your advice in my life has been priceless. Christopher
8: "One memory that stands out to me is when you gave me my first skateboard at Quadrangle Apartments"
13: Dad - no matter what happened, you always did your best to give us what we needed. Doug
18: I remember driving all night to get to vacation, just to make it easier on us. Yvonne
19: "It was a lot of fun having you help me with my first soap box derby." Doug
20: "I think a lot about you taking me to Humpback Rocks to climb." Doug
27: I loved your goofiness...like when you would fry like a piece of bacon on the floor, writhing around like you were having a seizure. Christopher
28: You always made sure we could do fun stuff, like going to the circus, even when there was little money. Yvonne
31: A favorite Christmas memory is the year you made Keith and I homemade skateboards. Topher
39: I loved going to the stocked trout farm to go fishing....even though I was too scared to touch the worm. Ugh! Christopher
44: You always made us the priority. Yvonne
48: A good Dad is one that can make each of his children feel like they are his favorite.
50: You gave me a very good life and I loved being called Tink. Shannon
52: I remember getting up early on Saturdays to going yard-selling, then going back home and taking a nap. Shannon -
53: "Thanks for the time that you took to help me and teach me things after I lost my finger." Doug
54: I loved all the trips we took out on the boat in North Carolina. I had so much fun being towed behind the boat, having water shoot up my nose the whole time! Christopher
57: You would always rock me in the lazy boy. You stopped when I was about 10 because we fell backwards in the chair. Shannon
60: God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it ... Dad ~~Author Unknown.~~
67: I remember sledding and eating snow cream on snow days. Yvonne
76: You never missed even one of my soccer or softball games. You were always there and even helped to coach. I love you Dad. You are an awesome man. Shannon
84: You taught me how to ride my bicycle in the front yard when we lived in Bristol. Christopher
88: Yvonne's Memories Watching Family SLIDESHOWS!! Hikes Indoor pools, movies, and chips and dip at the Holidome. Cincinnati Reds games and Skyline Chili when you showed us your "stomping grounds". Birthday parties with personalized cakes. Fried potatoes and miracle whip sandwiches - we hated 'em, but you loved 'em. Christmas Eves - keeping the season by focusing us on the reason. Showing us how to live a life full of integrity and purpose.
89: 2 of my favorite memories were when we lived in Bristol. You were our Cub Scout Master. You taught us all the wonderful things of what it was to be a scout. We had the meetings at the church. The second was when we would go out to the lake and fish from the bank. One time while there I was casting my lure and as soon as it hit the water I had a fish. Chris and I were so young but we had a good time while we were there. I think both of these have played a big part in my life, giving me the passion for the interests I have today. Thank you for taking that chance on me and giving me a family that loves me. You are a great man and I truly admire you for who you are. Happy Fathers Day. Love Ya Pop Keith
90: Christopher's Memories | I had the privilege of you baptizing me. | You helping me build a volcano for a school science project. | The time that you took me to see Rich Mullins and the Ragamuffin Band. | Building Jen's bookcase headboard together. | Our trip to Niagara Falls
91: Doug's Thoughts I remember all the help you gave me in Boy Scouts. Thanks for putting a roof over my head, when I accepted it. I remember that you never gave up on me and you took time out of your days to sit with my trial when you did not have to. Most importantly, you let me be a part of your family and always treated me like your very own son. I'll always love you a lot Dad.
92: Shannon's Memories We would always watch A Christmas Story on Christmas Eve and open one gift before Santa came. My favorite is when we would go to Granny's. We would always get barbeque and then in the evening we would get ice cream and go to the boardwalk and walk and talk. I love you Dad. You are my hero!
