Marilyn, Amy & Frank,, Emily,, Rick & Dominic, Tyson & Kate | Dear Mom, This letter is to tell you what you have meant to me and my family over the years. At first it was difficult not having you close to us, but it has given us the opportunity to visit one another over the years. You have taken time to see the kids and share our family history with them and that has meant a lot to all of us. Tyson has a lot of love for you and that has meant so much to me. Thank you for all the years of love you have given us. Your love will always be in our hearts. I hope you have a good time today! All my love, Marilyn

 Happy Birthday!

Grandma, Though we haven't spent a lot of time together, your presence has always been in my life. I remember some of our first visits together and how much fun you were. That's never changed! The time we've spent together has been fun, whether we're playing cards, eating Carl's Jr, bowling, or just hanging out. You've taught me to always be open and welcoming to one's family and I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. I have always been impressed by your wit. Some of the best jokes I've ever heard came from you! Thank you for blessing me with these gifts. Happy Birthday! Much love, Amy & Frank | Grandma, From the time we were just little children growing up in New Hampshire, we always knew we had a special grandmother that loved us way out in California. You visited us during our most important events and always showed us your support. You sent us hand-knitted blankets that we still cherish today and made it a point to stay in contact. Although it took longer than it should have, I finally grew up and realized what a wonderful thing it is to have such a kind and loving grandparent. Soon after, I started visiting more frequently and my time spent with you over the years has touched me profoundly. Listening to oldies and playing cards is all we had to do during our visits. You think it's the luck of the draw and I think it's how you play them! Perhaps it's a little bit of both? When I started to bring out Kate, you embraced her with the same kindness and love to which I had become accustomed. Now, we both can't wait until the next time we get to visit our sweet, beloved Grandma! Happy 90th Birthday Grandma and thank you for sticking around long enough for me to grow up! Love, Tyson & Kate

Always in our hearts | Dear Grandma, My first visit to California when I was 4 years old is one of my most vivid memories from childhood. The trip opened up a place in my heart that belongs to a funny, beautiful woman, my Grandmother. The walls of your home have embraced me (and my traveling companions) for years and there is no other place on earth that I so immediately feel at home. I am so appreciative for the times you've allowed me to stay with you. You really know how to make me feel (even as an adult) that I'm at "Gramma's house." When I'm around you I make like a sponge and try to absorb all the little tidbits that only a grandmother can teach. I cut and freeze Jimmy Dean sausage at my home now, and pull the grapes off the stems when I come home from the grocery store. These little tidbits make me feel closer to you when there are so many miles between us. I also feel comforted and rich with family tradition. You're a wonderful example for me and I feel lucky to be your granddaughter. I feel so blessed that I was able to bring my son out to meet you. I hope he never forgets the feeling that comes with being a guest in your home. Happy Birthday, Gramma! I love you very much. Love, Emily

Eric & Elaine | Dear Mom, Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great day. Thank you for all the help you have given me over the years. You have always been there to lend a helping hand, which I really appreciated. You endured countless hours of the ball bouncing off the house or garage door as I practiced fielding. There were endless hours of baseball practice and games that you took me to when I was young and softball games that you came to and showed your support in later years. I also had my abbreviated football career leading to a trip to the hospital...sorry! I know I must have kept you and Dad awake many nights with my asthma, but I knew you were both on the other side of the door listening to make sure I was okay. | Dear Dorothy, I hope your 90th birthday celebration is as wonderful as you. Thank you for the gift of Eric. I treasure my life with him and am blessed to be part of your family. Love, Elaine

I remember going on vacation every year: Michigan - catching fireflies, visiting Uncle Doc and Aunt Edith's store, and running to the basement when a tornado was in the area. I remember the trips to Canada and Oregon, where I ate more blueberries than I collected. Yellowstone - I think that's why I appreciate the outdoors so much. You let me iron Dad's handkerchiefs and grind meat and potatoes to make hash. My favorite foods as a kid were spaghetti (with lots of cheese), tacos (with lots of cheese), and Swiss Steak. I probably drove you a little nuts when I picked around the beans in my goulash, around my noodles to get to the gravy, and wiping the sauerkraut off my hot dogs. You welcomed Elaine, Bryan, and Elizabeth into our family and have never forgotten them. That means a lot to me. What it all comes down to is that you're a very special Mom to me. I love you, Eric

Dear Grandma, We would like to wish you a very Happy 90th Birthday! May your birthday bring you as much happiness as you give to everyone who knows you. Thank you for all the love you've shown us over the years...it means a lot to have a Grandma like you! Happy Birthday...We love you! Love, Bryan & Elizabeth | Bryan, Elizabeth, Eddie, Mirayah & Ava | "A Grandmother as dear as you makes life more special. Although the years in passing have a way of changing things. They'll never change the love and warmth that thinking of you brings. For you're the kind of Grandmother who's dearer than you know, and this is a welcome chance to fondly tell you so."
