52: Homecoming 2010 A slip of paper had come home from school saying that if we did not want our child to be in the drawing for homecoming court, to please state so and return the slip to school. Elliott really did not want to participate, but I told him that he'd never get drawn so don't worry about it. I returned it to school saying he'd participate if chosen. They called one night during dinner to congratulate Elliott on being chosen to be the crown bearer! I was so excited, but he was less than pleased. So I did what any good mom would do....I bribed him with a Wii game. Elliott, you made us proud! You did a great job, and smiled most of the time! Great job, buddy! Love, Mom and Dad

79: Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping on your nose, Yuletide carols being sung by a choir, And folks dressed up like Eskimos. Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe, Help to make the season bright. Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow, Will find it hard to sleep tonight. They know that Santa's on his way; He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh. And every mother's child is going to spy, To see if reindeer really know how to fly. And so I'm offering this simple phrase, To kids from one to ninety-two, Although its been said many times, many ways, A very Merry Christmas to you

99: "And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, How could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more." ~ Dr. Seuss
