June 24, 2006 On this hot summer Saturday, Benjamin and Carolyn Ito were joyfully united as husband and wife. September 1, 2007 They found out God had blessed them with a new addition to their lives, a baby. A bundle of God's blessings indeed.

God was so faithful in developing little baby girl inside the womb.! Now it was time for Ben and Carolyn to start preparing for the baby's arrival in their home.
Making a room for baby girl! | Carolyn spent weeks cleaning out her craft room to make way for baby girl! After packing several bags for give away and several boxes for the garage, the room was finally empty and ready for paint! Ben, Trevor and Carolyn spent an afternoon painting the room 'Plum Blossom,' what Carolyn calls 'dark lavender.'
Once the room was painted, Ben assembled the crib and changing table that the Itos graciously bought for baby! Carolyn hung curtains and prepared the details of the room.
After three baby showers, | the room was filled!

Ben and Carolyn came up with the baby's name, Leah Ruth Ito because Carolyn loved the name Leah. In the reality television show, 'Jon and Kate plus Eight', Jon and Kate had a little girl named Leah who was cute as a button. Ruth was the name of both Ben and Carolyn's grandmothers, who baby-sat them as children and shared many special memories together. At 34 weeks, the baby's room was finished, a name was chosen and Carolyn was ready to pop. Now it was just time to wait for God's perfect timing of Leah's arrival.!

Dr. Sharma arrived at the hospital at 9am and said that Carolyn's water spontaneously broke already. At 10:20am, Carolyn was 6 cm dilated and decided it was time for pain medication. When that wore off close to noon, she got an epidural. | Nurse Julie took good care of Ben and Carolyn. Julie would check Carolyn's progress and brought juice and ice chips. By 1:10pm, Carolyn was 8 cm dilated and did not feel any pain. Ben and Carolyn knew the time was getting near when the nursing staff continued to bring in big machines to prepare for the delivery.
At 2:50pm, Carolyn was fully dilated and she began pushing at 3:30pm. Sweet baby Leah was born at 4:29pm. Every good and perfect gift indeed comes from the LORD.
