FC: Cinderella.... Cinderella.... Cinderella....
1: The legacy began on January 6, 1922 when Leora Martha Gilbert was brought into this world. Some of the love, laughter, lessons and friendships she's built over the last 90 years are illustrated on the following pages. The story doesn't stop there . . . it continues in her life and in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. With much love, Your family | She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Proverbs 31:25-27

9: Grandma Lee, You mean so much to me. Looking back, I realize how lucky I was as a little girl to live so close to my grandma. I have so many great memories of spending time with you, especially our trips to Busch Gardens and watching the ice shows. I know you made family time a priority and I always enjoyed celebrating holidays and special occasions around your dinner table and your Christmas tree with the birds on it. You taught be how to swim in the Sun City Community pools. Whenever I smell bleach or put my hair in a ponytail before I go swimming, I think of all the RULES at the pool! Thank you for all the walks in the evenings on the golf course and the times I got to drive the golf cart and eat berries. And the visits with you after working at Eckerds. I don't know anyone else who has a grandma who dances, or who won a beauty pageant. You are so beautiful. I've had friends see your picture up in my house and comment on how pretty you are. I am blessed to have a close relationship with you and to have so many wonderful memories of precious times spent together. I love you. Michelle xoxox

13: Dear Grandma, I feel so lucky to have such a special grandma in my life. You have always been there as a listening ear for me and I cherish the nights I would come home from work and tell you all about my day. It is amazing to think of all we went through for those 7 years we lived together. I started my career, got married and started a family, all under your loving care. You always gave great advice and support to me when i needed it. I look back and think of all the wonderful happy memories that we have shared together like Easter egg hunts and washtub baths! Thinking about walking off those holiday dinners on the golf course and hunting for alligators and golf balls always makes me smile. I remember all the love you put into those family dinners. Even though we occasionally had to sit at the little kids table, I knew that when the dinner bell rang, there would be green stuff, bean dip and jello made especially for me!! I have been so blessed to have you not only as a Grandma but as a friend and confidant as well!! I love you so much!! Love, Lindsey Lee

20: Dear Grandma HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I am blessed to have you as a Grandmother. I am thankful for all the memories we share. Grandma, I think about how you have always been caring, had time for me, wanting to hear about my days and ready to offer good advice and shown love with open arms. I cherish the many long talks we shared during car rides on weekends. We have fun memories of playing cards, going to two shows for the price of one. I am honored to follow in your footsteps of becoming a RN and I enjoy sharing my nursing stories with you, as you appreciate them, as only a nurse can! Some of my favorite memories include sharing family holidays, birthdays and cruises, Easter egg hunts, eating bean dip and green stuff. Thank you Grandma for all the love and support you have shown me. I love you so much! Love, Kelli

28: Grandma Lee Happy Birthday Grandma!!! I wanted to take the time to let you know how much you mean to me. You have been the greatest Grandma a Grandson could have. I'm proud to be called your only Grandson!!! I have learned a lot from you as well as received a lot of love from you. I always enjoyed the thrill of going to your house. I will always remember the game closet, afternoons playing casino and cribbage and days learning how to swim at the community pool. However, my most cherished memories are at the holiday dinner table and getting to ring the dinner bell all over the house. I love you so much grandma and hope you have a great birthday. Love, Wild Bill

34: What is a Grandmother A grandmother is a remarkable woman! She's a wonderful combination of warmth and kindness, laughter and love. She overlooks our faults, encourages our dreams, and praises our every success. A grandmother has the wisdom of a teacher, the sincerity of a true friend, and the tenderness of a mother. She's someone we admire, respect and love very much. A grandmother will always have a cherished place in our memories and in our hearts. She is someone for whom we want every happiness in return for the joy she always brings. A grandmother is all the dear and precious things in life....... when she's a grandmother like you!!!
