S: In Loving Memory...

BC: We thought of you with love today, But that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday, And days before that too. We think of you in silence, We often speak your name. Now all we have is memories And your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake, With which we'll never part. God has you in his keeping, We have you in our hearts. | In Loving Memory of Martha Inez Combs | March 16, 1923 - May 4, 2012

Mothers | hold their children's hands | for awhile... | their hearts | forever.

You can only have one mother Patient kind and true; No other friend in all the world, Will be the same to you. When other friends forsake you, To mother you will return, For all the loving kindness, She asks nothing in return. As we look upon her picture, Sweet memories we recall, Of a face so full of sunshine, And a smile for one and all. Sweet Jesus, take this message, To our dear mother up above; Tell her how we miss her, And give her all our love. | Because someone we love is in Heaven... There's a little bit of Heaven in our Home...

My Dearest Family, Some things I'd like to say but first of all to let you know that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from Heaven where I dwell with God above where there's no more tears or sadness, there is only eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight, remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on Earth was through, God hugged me and He said, "I welcome you." | "It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone, as for your dearest family, they'll be here later on." Then God gave me a list of things He wished for me to do, and foremost on that list of mine is to watch and care for you. And I will be beside you every day and week and year, and when you're sad, I'm standing there to wipe away the tear. And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight, God and I are closest to you in the middle of the night. | When you think of my life on Earth and all those loving years, because you're only human they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain, but remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that I could tell you of all that God has planned, but if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand. But one thing is for certain, though my life on Earth is over, I am closer to you now than I ever was before. | There are rocky roads ahead of you, and many hills to climb, but together we can do it taking one day at a time. When you are walking down the street and you've got me on your mind, I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when you feel the gentle breeze or the wind upon your face, that's me giving you a great big hug or just a soft embrace. And when it's time for you to go from that body to be free, remember you're not going, you are coming here to me.

Walking with Grandma | I like walking with Grandma Her steps are short like mine. She doesn't say, "now hurry up," she always takes her time. I like to walk with Grandma, her eyes see things like mine do, Wee pebbles bright, a funny cloud, half hidden drops of dew. Most people have to hurry, they do not stop to see, I'm glad God made Grandma, unrushed and young like me.

If roses grow in Heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for me, Place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, Place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.

 Merry Christmas

Graduation | In our hearts forever....

The Legend of the Sand Dollar There's a lovely little legend that I would like to tell, Of the birth and death of Jesus, found in this lowly shell. If you examine closely You'll see that you find here, Four nail holes and a fifth one, Made by a Roman's spear. On one side the Easter lily, It's center is the star That appeared unto the Shepherds And led them from a far. The Christmas Poinsettia etched on the other side, Reminds us of His birthday, our happy Christmas time. Now break the center open and here you will release, the five white doves awaiting to spread good will and peace. This simple little symbol, Christ left for you and me, to help us spread his Gospel through all Eternity. | One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord, Across the sky flashed scenes from his life, for each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand One belonging to him and the other to the Lord. Then the last scene of his life flashed before him, He looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him, and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way." But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. "I don't understand why when I needed you the most you would leave me." The Lord replied,, "My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints in the sand, it was then that I carried you." | Footprints in the Sand
