 Memories and stories

When I was little my father thought that I was just another messy looking baby, my grandmother thought that I was an absolute beautiful baby but my grandfather thought I was a scraggly little kid that wouldn't ever mount to anything. When I was born I had a check mark on my head so in my family we always say that an angel put it there as to say "Yep she's good!" before God sent me down from heaven.

When my mother worked at Herman's sporting goods store her parents would stand outside the window and wave at her and when my mom worked at the hospital my grandparents would drive around the hospital parking lot and when they saw her coming they would duck so she couldn't see them.

When my Dad was little he tied a cow to a pole before they they took it to market. In the process of trying to escape the cow choked itself so my dad and his brother tried to give it CPR. The weird thing is that the cow actually lived.

In second grade I entered a writing contest and won!!!! I wrote about a giant cabbage that housed a group of homeless animals. Two of my best friends got 2nd and 3rd place. My friend Jessica Paulus won second and Lauryn Rementer was in third place.

When my grandmother on my mother's side was young she went to a camp and didn't enjoy it. The camp was an island so she couldn't get away from it without taking a boat. My grandma and her friends heard that they was a new exciting camp a little bit into the mainland. My grandmother and her other three friends somehow took a boat to the mainland. They then took a taxi and went to the other camp. At the end of the week they went back to the original camp hoping that their parents wouldn't notice that they were gone. When they got back their parents were already there and were going to pick them up. When the parents found out that their kids were gone they organized a search party so when my grandmother and her friends got back they knew they were in big trouble.

When myDad and Mom were still dating they were talking on the phone when the pizza man comes to the door at Dad's apartment. Dad put's down the phone and turns on the television. He started eating and watching his favorite T.V. show. Of course he couldn't hear Mom screaming into the phone which was on the floor. When the show was over he knew he was in big trouble looking at the phone on the floor. Although at that time she asked herself "why am I going to spend the rest of my life with this guy?" she still married him though

When I was little I id a lot of weird and unusual think like these sorts of things | I once was trying to play basket ball in my underpants by dunking my head into my training toilet seat. I went too far and got my head stuck in the toilet seat. I couldn't get it of and by the time I found my mom an she took it of there was a red ring around my head that stayed there for the rest of the day. | I used o hate the taste of white tic tacs but I loved the smell. To smell them all the time without having to keep the tic tac up to my nose or eat it I stuck one tic tac up each nostril of my nose. I then heard my mom coming so I quickly took them out and ate them so I wouldn't get in trouble. To this day white tic tacs aren't my favorite.

When my mom was little her and two of her friends Julie and Judy were on the side of their road throwing pennies and after dinner mints on the road to see who's got crushed first. When they were doing that they were singing "we Are Santa's Elves" even though it wasn't even close to Christmas.

Thank you for reading my book and I hope you enjoyed it. -Kathryn Armstrong

All in all my family is definitely the greatest and I wouldn't trade them for anything. We've been through so much and many more good times are coming our way. They truly are the best in the world. God has blessed me with many things but when I count my blessings I always count my family first. I thank God everyday for keeping us all safe, happy, and most importantly together. I love my family very deeply.
