S: Ted & Jamie - Our Story
FC: ted & jamie
"Faith isn't the ability to believe long and far into the misty future. It's simply taking God at His Word and taking the next step." -Joni Erickson Tada | We are excited you have opened our story, and we pray that it shows you an honest picture of who we are as a couple and our future hopes for a family. Each of our journeys to this point have been marked with some pain and suffering; our prayer for you is that through Faith, you may know the deep, great love that God has for you and your baby. We hope you feel peace about your choice to create an adoption plan for your child. And, we pray that whichever way you are led, that you feel confidence in your decision. | Suamico, WI | May God Bless You! | Minocqua, WI | Duluth, MN
We met in college, and have been married for over nine years.
We met while in college; Ted was a Senior about to graduate and Jamie, a Sophomore. We dated for another two and a half years while Jamie finished her degree and married in June 2002. Ted was attracted to Jamie's red hair and casual sense of style. Jamie was attracted to Ted's intelligence and adventuresome spirit. Our love for each other is strong and it is getting stronger every day! When we married, we committed our marriage to God and invited him to be a part of it. We want you to understand that we are committed to raising our children in a loving, Christian home. We want our kids to know how deeply God loves them, and to know that he wants the very best for them. | Our Marriage | This is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:10
San Francisco, CA (Right) We loved the trolley car rides & food! | We really enjoy celebrating anniversaries in Door County, WI. It's a beautiful vacation, and close to home. (Left) | Evergreen, CO | San Francisco, CA | Our Travels
We both have always loved to travel and see other parts of the country and world. We want to do more of this with our son and future children! Some of our favorite places include skiing in Colorado and visiting with family in Florida and Chicago, IL. | Napa Valley, CA | Charleston, SC | Chicago, IL Millennium Park | Orlando, FL Disney World Vacation

Our Journey to Parenthood | We believe that God has chosen for our family to grow through the special plan of adoption! We know that it takes very special, loving birth-parents to consider this option for their baby. We are thankful for your strength and courage, and we will always share with your child how loving and selfless you truly are. Through prayer and by God's grace, Tommy was born healthy, six weeks prematurely at under 4 lbs. We now know that Jamie suffers from severe pre-ecclampsia during pregnancy. Doctors have told us we are crazy to try to conceive again, but we don't feel like our family is complete, quite yet.
"I am excited to have the opportunity to share with you some of the things I love and admire about my husband. He is, truly the kindest man I will ever know. He's the type of guy that does the dishes after dinner, buys me flowers for no reason, and takes our son to the neighborhood park on Saturday mornings to spend special time with him (and to let me sleep in!) I love watching him most when he walks in the door from work and immediately seeks out our son for a wrestling match on the carpet! His energy around our friends' kids seems unlimited, and they always seek him out to climb on or to play tag with. After all this, I can understand why he typically falls asleep before 9:30PM! Most times, though, I just can't believe he picked me to marry." | Celebrating Tommy's first kids' run @ the Bellin 10K | Time on the Lake, one of Ted's favorites! | Jamie
He's an expert skier and a good teacher, too! | Ted, on left, is the coach for Tommy's first soccer team this year! | Lake Michigan, WI | Tommy's 3rd Birthday | Ted | Sonoma Valley, CA
"There are a few things you should know about my beautiful wife Jamie! First, she brings the energy to our relationship and home! When she is not chasing our son around she loves to spend time in the kitchen baking and cooking. She has a compassionate and loving heart. Over the last ten years Jamie has given her time to volunteer at church youth groups and women's bible studies. Her passions are mentoring teenage girls and event planning. Jamie has had to give up using those gifts at times to be at home with our son and she is excited to add another child to our family! Here are a few other things you might want to know about Jamie. Her dad was a pilot and flew their family around the world; this inspires us to travel more as our children grow older. Also, she grew up playing tennis and played in college. The last thing you should know is how much Jamie loves and cherishes being a mother." | Ted
Tommy is patiently waiting for his chance to be a big brother! He is so loving when around little ones; he especially loves to "pet" babies' soft hair and make them laugh by showing them toys or his funny faces. | "eww! Baby diapers are stinky!" | Our good friends' baby, Malia | Gently rocking cousin Violet to sleep. | Being a big helper at the play-ground | Tommy
Some of Tommy's favorite things are animals! He loves to visit the zoo and feed the giant giraffes. This last summer he learned to swim and took his first jump off the high dive at our local pool. He is very affectionate; he'll be a super big brother!
Ted's Family | We're thankful to have much of Ted's family so close to us, here in Green Bay. Ted's parents and middle sister Bethany's family live on a lake only 15 minutes away from our home. We see them weekly for boat rides, barbecues, play-dates or family dinners. Grammy and Grandpa love to take their grandkids for special day-trips and are very excited to add a fifth grandchild to the family! Ted's youngest sister, Charity lives in St. Paul, so we also visit with them often. | Mary Beth Jamie Charity Madi Beth Tommy | Tom Ted Dave Nate | Dave and Charity Cousin Violet 9 mo. | Madi 4 1/2 Nate Bethany Caliana 11 mo. | Cousins | Strawberry Pickin' | Grammy & Papa Tom

Her sister Carrie lives in Miami, FL and brother Greg lives downtown Chicago. They are a fun-loving Auntie & Uncle. Jamie's parents work hard to see their grandson at least every other month, and are thrilled about becoming grandparents again! | Jamie's Family | Sisters | Jim Jamie Ted Greg Sharon Tommy Carrie | QUACK!!

Baby Boy's Room | Although we haven't shopped, yet, for girl decor, Jamie found these pictures (right) on-line and we love the bright colored patchwork detail. No matter what, this sweet child will always have a diverse heritage and multiple people that love her unconditionally. We think this design is a really awesome display of that! | Jamie's dad built an oak dresser/diaper changing table for her when she was born and it is in beautiful condition. We would like to use that in the babies room, again, because of it's quality and family history. | Baby Girl's Room
We trust that God will guide you as you seek adoptive parents for this child. Thank you for choosing life and for considering us! Warmly, | We hope if you've made it this far in our book, you've gotten a good taste of what our lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin look like. | Ted, Jamie & Tommy
