3: SOCCER | What an amazing young man our Dylan has become! Soccer, track, trumpet, Boy Scouts, and playing with his friends and brothers. He stays busy!
4: Christmas | Nick | 6 | TURNED | THIS YEAR
5: SOCCER | Nick's first grade teacher says she has seldom seen a boy so giving and empathetic. He loves school and his friends and, of course, soccer!
6: Cabo | Josh | 6 | TURNED | THIS YEAR
7: SOCCER | Josh spends a lot of time drawing and painting. He also loves science and math, and says that one day he'll be a scientist or a sculptor.
8: MARRIED FOR | 14 | YEARS | Peter & Robin | This year we celebrated our fourteenth wedding anniversary on June 6th. We are so grateful for these years together!

14: Historical Tour of D.C. | Dylan and I had the time of our lives touring Philadelphia, Gettysburg, Arlington, Mt. Vernon, and Washington, D.C. with a fun group from his school.
15: kayaking in the San Juan Islands | In August John, Matt, Will, and I joined an amazing group to paddle the rich waters of the San Juan Islands. This was Will's first "Brothers Adventure!" | Orca whales swim right beside us in the dark waters. Eagles glide overhead. Curious harbor seals watch our boats while lazying on the rocky shore. Life abounds! | A kayak offers such an intimate view of this beautiful landscape. I'm so grateful for this amazing adventure with my brothers and nephew Will. Thanks guys!

18: HIGHLIGHTS | OUR YEAR'S | 1 | Our three goldfish (Dylan, Nicky, and Josh) got a much needed upgrade to a 75-gallon tank. | Our dear Cockatiel named Piper survived a brush with death, and we now place a much greater value on her life, about $1,585! | 2 | 3 | Sadly, we said good-bye to our dear friends Sonja and Chris who moved back to Germany.
19: The Force, Dylan's new soccer team had an undefeated season with Dylan playing forward. | At soccer camp this summer, Dylan and his friend James met four-time FIFA World Cup goal keeper Kasey Keller! | We've nearly finished a lovely landscaping project in our front yard.
