25: July 10 | Patrick had a great time opening presents (and kissing the babies on the boxes) and eating his cake (well, really just the icing). 35: Adam and Melissa took Nolan for his first photo shoot on August 14, with Jeff Hinds, who photographed our wedding, their wedding, and our first family portrait session.
36: On August 16, Catherine took Patrick to the Oregon Zoo for the first time. Patrick was just as interested in watching all the other people and the waterfalls as the animals. He cooed at the giraffe and laughed at the elephant and the mandrills. He cried when we had to leave the sandbox. He also enjoyed having a snack and watching a family play frisbee.

39: August 27 At the Edgleys' Patrick swam with Luna and Ian and looked at the fish pond.

41: Salem, OR August 28 | We went with Dave, Debbie, Erin, and Grandma Bren. Patrick ate a whole ice cream cone, saw farm animals, experienced his first petting zoo (llamas, deer, and wallabies!) and his first photo booth, meet two bears, and fell asleep to the sounds of steam engines.

43: On October 1, we went to Lincoln City for Steve's son Jeff's wedding to Allie. They got married at a summer camp right on the water. Patrick had a great time exploring the camp, playing with Nolan, Spencer, Henry, and Dawson, and easting yummy wedding food.

46: Listen, kid. In about a year they're going to try to take away your pacifer. Just stash one under the crib mattress like I did.
47: We had to put Clyde to sleep on October 29. We miss him very much.

49: This was the pumpkin patch that Dad went to when he was a kid. We saw goats, sheep, chicks, and pigs, played on Noah's Ark and an old tractor, and spent a long time looking at (and kissing) pumpkins.

52: Granny Irene, Caroline, Gretchen, and Big White Bear came to visit for Thanksgiving.

60: We did lots of other things while we were downtown: played on the train and with the reindeer at Macy's, listened to live music, went to Peet's Coffee; looked at the tree in Pioneer Courthouse Square, and participated in some caroling at the mall.
61: On Christmas Eve, we went to Gramma and Grampa's with Adam, Melissa, and Nolan to have dinner and open presents. It took hours, because Patrick wanted to play with everything he opened! His favorites were the Magnadoodle and the book with photos of himself.
62: Christmas Morning | We woke up, opened presents, ate breakfast, and played. After last night, Patrick is a champion at unwrapping. His favorite presents are the panda chair from Santa, blocks from Aunt Gretchen, and the tunnel from Granny.
63: After spending some time at home, we went back to Gramma and Grampa's because last night Patrick fell asleep before he could open all of his presents! He got some big boy toys like Mr. Potato Head and a mini piano.
64: We went home for a nap, and then over to Betsy and Jim's for dinner and a gift exchange. This ended up being a very late night, and Patrick was happy the whole time.
